Pumpkin Picking is a fun and affordable outing for families at this time of year. It’s a good excuse to get outdoors and enjoy nature, while also choosing your pumpkin ready for Halloween. When I was young, it was more common to see turnip or swede Jack-o-Lanterns. By the time my kids were born, large “Halloween pumpkins” were increasingly popular, however, it wasn’t until 2014 that we became aware of a Pumpkin Patch local to us, so we could finally go Pumpkin Picking. Sadly, our original Pumpkin Patch at Brooksgrove Farm is no longer opening up a Pumpkin Patch as over the years it got too popular for their small farm, which had limited access. It’s now a cider farm. Sadly, Steynton Farm have closed their farm shop so Steynton farm Pumpkin Barn closed too, then in 2025 they reopened (yay!) in Steynton but this year look out for their Pumpkin Patch at their new farm in Dreenhill). Heatherton are also no longer having a Heatherton Pumpkin Patch, however, they have lots planned for Heatherton After Dark in 2026. I will share more about this in a Halloween Activities in Pembrokeshire post soon. The original Pembrokeshire Pumpkin farms really “carved” the way for Pumpkin Patches in Pembrokeshire and new ones now spring up all the time.

1. Windsor Farm Pumpkin Patch
Windsor Farm is opening its Pumpkin Patch for the eighth year.
Farm Barn returns for 2026
Opening weekend 3rd & 4th October 2026
10am–4pm
Entry £5 per vehicle
No booking needed – just turn up!

Please note, Windsor Farm have had to introduce a £5 entry fee per vehicle for 2026 due to rising costs.
They explain: “Our pumpkins are all homegrown. It’s been a challenging growing year and our team have been working so hard to ensure the pumpkins are looking their best 
Each year we invest to give you the best experience at our Pumpkin Barn & Farm Barn. It takes us months to get ready to open to the public.
Included with entry is access to the Pumpkin Barn & Farm Barn, photo opportunities and meet the animals.”
In the past they have had a pumpkin cannon, refreshments from Emburs Dessert Bar and local produce from Pembrokeshire Coast Honey. Keep an eye on their page to see if they’re back this year.
Where: Windsor Farm, Pembroke, SA71 5NT. Follow signs from Lamphey Village.
When: Weekends throughout October and Half-Term, 10 am until 4 pm.
How much: £5 entry free (per car/group) cash and card accepted- pumpkins from £1.
Extras: All-weather undercover pumpkin barn. Well behaved dogs allowed on leads.
Facilities: Car parking on hard standing, toilet available, local produce from Pembrokeshire Coast Honey selling products, and Emburs Dessert bar selling refreshments (not yet confirmed for 2026)
How: No booking required.

2. Greenacre Pumpkin Patch
Greenacre Market Garden is a great place for families to get into the Halloween spirit. 2026 will be the 12th year of pumpkins at Greenacre’s Market Garden.
Where: Greenacre Market Garden, Old Amroth Road, Llanteg, Pembrokeshire, SA67 8QG
When: Opening 17h October 2026, open weekends 17/18 and 23/24/25 of October, 10.30am- last entry 4 pm and later on their Friday party night. Keep an eye on their page in case they open for more dates.
How much: Weekends: £6.50 ticket for ages 3 and over. The ticket includes a spending token worth £3 which can be spent on purchasing pumpkins, refreshments, or any other activities on site. Party night: £10 each.
How: Book here
Extras: Fire pits for toasted marshmallows, Garden cafe to enjoy refreshments, little play area, Haunted shack for the brave, Lots of photo opportunities and surprises. No dogs. Pram and wheelchair friendly. Cash preferred but card available.

3. Pembrokeshire Pumpkin Farm
Visit Pembrokeshire Pumpkin Farm – and pick your own pumpkin ready for Halloween.
Come to the Pembrokeshire Pumpkin farm for a unique Pumpkin Picking experience.
Pick your pumpkin from the Field or Barn.
Meet the witches, ghosts and the skeletons in Barn. Let the little ones run free over the woodland play area. Enjoy the pedal tractors and games.
Wonder around the Bale trail and craft market. And when energy runs low fuel up with our hot chocolates, burgers, sweets.
Dogs are welcome too!

When: 10/11th and 16/17th and 24th to 31st October – weekends and half-term, 10.30 am – last entry 5 pm.

4. Tenby’s Pumpkin Patch
Another pumpkin patch in Pembrokeshire to add to the growing list – Tenby’s Pumpkin Patch.
Where: Gumfreston Farm, Gumfreston SA70 8RA (follow the signs)
When: From October 3rd weekends,10.00 am –7pm (Sat) and 10 am -5pm Sun)

How much: Free entry. Pick your own Pumpkins for sale at various prices.
How: No need to book. Cash and card payments are available.
Extras: Photo opportunities. Pumkin cannon. Dog friendly. Snack Patch Refreshments, pancakes and hot drinks.

6. Dreenhill Farm Pumpkin Patch (previously Steynton Farm Pumpkin Patch)
Dreenhill Farm Pumpkin Patch is back in 2026!
Where: Dreenhill Farm, SA62 3XG
When: Opening weekend 3rd and 4th October. 11.00am until 4.00pm
How much: £3.00 per person (2 and under are free) entry includes access to pumpkins and flowers.
Extras: Pumpkin barn, pick your own pumpkin field and photo opportunities. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome. Wear wellies or appropriate footwear.
How: No need to book.
Facilities: The barn will be full of pumpkins and photo opportunities. They will have hot and cold drinks, cakes, and different food vendors every weekend, with indoor seating available. Details of the food vendors will follow soon- keep an eye on their Facebook page.
Please note, we were very sad to read Jo from Dreenhill Farm’s latest post (below) in which she explains that her cancer has returned. Therefore please be understanding if they are open less hours or if their hours suddenly change. We are wishing Jo and family all the love and strength to get through this.

Good Hook Pumpkins are a family-run dairy farm who have branched into growing pumpkins. Sadly, due to the cold weather and lack of sun, they could not open their Pumpkin Patch in 2024 but they did return for a successful 2025 season. They are also not opening in 2026 but I’ve kept their details here for future visitors to find out more in case they do open. Please keep an eye on their Facebook page for more information.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins in Pembrokeshire
Whichever Pembrokeshire pumpkin patch you decide to visit, remember to wrap up warm and ready for wet weather, wear wellies and bring a big bin bag ready to put the muddy pumpkins inside or on in the car.
It’s been a difficult season for growing pumpkins- I struggled just to keep our small crop of beans and tomatoes growing in our garden during the summer drought so can’t imagine how hard it is to grow a huge crop of pumpkins! So please support our Pembrokeshire pumpkin farmers if you can.

Can you believe I have never been pumpkin picking I think this year I might steal the grandkids and take them to pick pumpkins
I used to love going pumpkin picking with my kids. We really enjoyed the ones where you could walk out into fields, they were already picked but we could go on choose the ones we liked and pick them up. Our local farm does pumpkin events and we always used to go to the tent and carve our pumpkins, this was great because it meant no mess at home 🙂
If I were in Pembrokeshire I’d love to visit any of these places.
