For Day 3 of Blogmas, I’m sharing a moment of calm during the build-up to Christmas chaos. As the days get busier, I appreciate the ritual of the daily dog walks more than ever. I’m always saying how good getting outdoors and going for a walk is for your mental health, but before we had Ozzy, it was one of the things I’d start to neglect whenever life got busy, even though I needed it then even more. Now I have a good reason, and I have to walk a few times a day, even when I feel like I don’t have the time.
Today we went to St Brides. As you begin to walk on the coastal path towards Martins Haven, you enter a field full of sheep (please make sure dogs are on leads) and are treated to a view of St Brides Castle. This is a lovely coastal path walk. There’s also St Brides Bay to explore and St Bridget Church, which was built in the 13th Century and restored in 1856.
Where do you find your moments of calm in the run-up to Christmas? Remember to stop and breathe and to look after yourself at this time of year.
