As we age, our body produces less collagen, leading to a gradual decline in overall collagen levels. This can be a major contributor to visible signs of aging like wrinkles, sagging skin, and joint discomfort. I know, in this perimenopausal stage, my body is going through so many changes and needs extra care.
That’s why I was intrigued when I was asked to review Revive Collagen Vegan. We often hear about collagen when it comes to beauty – smoother skin, fewer fine lines, stronger hair and nails – but what I didn’t realise until recently is just how important collagen is for us during the perimenopausal and menopausal years. Read on to find out more about my thoughts on taking collagen and Revive Collagen Vegan:
Lowering Oestrogen Levels
When our oestrogen levels start to dip, so too does our natural collagen production. That’s one reason why our skin can suddenly feel drier, why our joints can start to feel achier, and even why little knocks or scrapes take longer to heal. Collagen isn’t just about vanity – it’s about supporting the whole body.

Revive Collagen Vegan Review
I was very pleased that my order of Revive Collagen Vegan arrrived quickly as I was excited to try it. It came well packaged and in great condition. I was pleased to see the packaging is mainly cardboard, which can be easily recycled. They also offer a free recycling service for revive collagen sachets (I am also wondering if they could be recycled with the plastic at large supermarkets as similar packaging can be). This product is also made from all natural ingredients and very importantly to me as a vegan, not tested on animals.

I love how the Vegan Collagen sachets are stored. You could write dates or days of the week if you find it hard to remember to take daily sachets. I added it to my daily morning routine so could easily remember.

Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen Sachets
The Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen Sachets are very convenient. if I have a really busy morning or I’m running late I pop one of the sachets in my bag to have during a quiet moment in the car rather than with my breakfast as usual at home.

The Taste of Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen
The Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen ready-to-drink sachets come in a raspberry flavour. One sachet is recommended daily for best results. Before taking this product, I did a bit of research, of course. I found out that some people find the collagen drink a bit thick in texture and with a similar taste to cough medicine. They suggested to mix it with something to make it more palatable. I decided to try it straight up and if I wasn’t keen I planned to add it to a breakfast smoothie each morning instead. It is a thick texture, but it’s smooth, so for me it went down really nicely. I loved the raspberry flavour. I found the sachets refreshing each morning and always drank it straight from the sachet so it was always quick and easy to take.

Me enjoying my Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen raspberry sachet!

Results After Using Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen for 28 Days
As I wrote earlier, when my oestrogen levels suddenly dropped my skin went really dry overnight. It then started peeling and was always flakey. My GP prescribed steroids and an emollient to deal with this extreme flare up. My skin finally began to settle, but I could tell I needed to start caring for it more from the inside out rather than just the outside, so I was interested in seeing the results from Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen.
The most noticeable benefits for me so far have been:
- Smoother, plumper skin – friends have commented that I look “rested,” which is always nice to hear.
- Softer, more moisturised skin even with just using my usual body moisturisers.
- Tan more easily- as I got older, I noticed my skin would tan less in the sun, which wasn’t a problem for me, but since taking collagen, I’ve noticed my skin naturally tanning after being out in the sun, like my children’s young skin does (okay, I’ll never tan as dark as Izzy!).
- Stronger nails- my nails are growing longer thanks to being stronger.
- Less achiness – I hadn’t even connected my stiff knees and sore joints to collagen loss, but I’m finding I can move about more comfortably.
- Faster healing – even little cuts and bruises seem to disappear more quickly, which is a small but very welcome change.
- Thicker hair- I had resolved myself with the fact that my previously thick hair was now thinner and was contemplating a drastic haircut. Now, my hair feels thicker and heavier again.
During this time of reviewing Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen, life also became really busy. I found I wasn’t eating as healthily or drinking as much water as I usually do. I’m hoping with a healthier lifestyle and the collagen, I’ll see even bigger improvements.
Of course, everyone’s experience is different, but for me, this little daily sachet feels like a bit of self-care that really makes a difference. It’s not a magic wand, but it’s a helpful support while navigating the changes of perimenopause.
Before and After Using Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen

The before and after photos from Day 1 and Day 28 of taking Revive Collagen Vegan Collagen. I can see my skin is smoother, brighter and tanning more. It just looks “healthier” than usual.

If you’re curious about collagen but put off by the usual bovine or marine sources, I think this vegan option is a brilliant alternative. It’s reassuring to know I’m supporting my body in a natural, plant-based way – and it actually feels like it’s working.
