When is February Half Term in Pembrokeshire 2025?
February half-term in Pembrokeshire runs from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 2nd March 2025. As many schools in England split up the week before, many Pembrokeshire attractions cater for this and run half-term activities from 15th February to 2nd March 2025.
Theme Parks in Pembrokeshire
There are many theme parks to enjoy a full day out in Pembrokeshire during the February half-term. These include (in no particular order): Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, Manor Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities, Clerkenhill Adventure Farm and The Dinosaur Park (you may have seen that The Dinosaur Park Tenby is currently up for sale. Don’t worry, it is business as usual but be aware it does not open until March 29th 2025). At Manor Wildlife Park online tickets are half-price during February. Oakwood Theme Park is still closed for winter. Read on for events happening during the February half-term in Pembrokeshire:
Scolton Manor
Scolton Manor is always one of our favourite places to visit. We love the Welsh Myth and Legends Sculpture Trail and playing in the Eco- Explorer Woodland Village.
Half Term Happening at Scolton Manor Park

Join Scolton Manor for some family-friendly activities over the half term!
Pixel Perfect – Retro CVG
11am – 4pm
Visit Scolton Manor House for a week of fun quizzes and crafts inspired by our new ‘Pixel Perfect’ retro computer and video games display. (Quizzes and crafts included in the normal manor house admission.)
Follow the ‘Pixel Perfect’ Park Trail around the grounds to discover video games inspired by nature. Trails are available from the manor house and cost £1.50 each.

Quest for the Lost Baby Dragon: A Family Trail

Join us for the annual Dragon Parade, a vibrant celebration honouring the birth of our patron saint, St David. Cheer on schoolchildren, community groups and local residents as they march down the City’s main street, bringing the parade to life with music, colour and creativity.

Castell Henllys Iron Age Village
Open 19 February to 2 March 10 am -3 pm
At Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, Experience the Iron Age sessions (10am-3pm) will offer visitors the chance to journey back over 2,000 years and immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and skills of the past.
Taking place from Wednesday 19 February to Sunday 2 March, these sessions will feature skilled craftspeople demonstrating ancient techniques, along with opportunities to try traditional crafts and gain hands-on experience of Iron Age skills.
Those feeling adventurous can test their aim with a slingshot, while daily guided tours at noon will provide a deeper insight into the fascinating world of the Celts. the site including the woodland and Barefoot Trail. A guided tour of the village is also included in your admission fee and a friendly member of the tribe will tell you all about life in the Iron Age.

Carew Castle and Tidal Mill
Saturday 15 February to Sunday 2 March
There is a packed programme of events and fun activities for all ages at Carew Castle throughout the year from Have-a-Go Archery, interactive Horrid Histories talks and Ghost Tours to Open Air Theatre, Knight School and Christmas events! For a free day out in Pembrokeshire, take a walk around the Castle and Mill Pond, for extra fun, pay admission and go into the Castle where lots more adventures await you.
In February half-term, step into the world of outlaws and adventure at Carew Castle with the new Robin Hood Treasure Trail running from Saturday 15 February to Sunday 2 March. Armed with a smartphone, young explorers will need to locate hidden keys before the Sheriff of Nottingham gets to them – and success comes with a reward.
£2 per child plus normal admission fee applies.
For those ready to take up arms, Maid Marian’s Crew is enlisting brave souls to try their hand at sword fighting, archery, and wilderness survival. Free sessions take place on 16, 19, 23, and 26 February at 11am, 12 noon, and 2pm.
Visitors can also experience the Storymaster’s Quests: Castle of Adventure – an interactive family-friendly show led by best-selling immersive author Oliver McNeil and featuring the legendary voice of Tom Baker. Shows run on 24, 25, 27, and 28 February at 1pm. Tickets cost £6 per person and booking is advised.

A Walk Around Carew Castle and Mill
Pembrokeshire National Trust
Escape to the western edge of Wales and explore a dramatic coastal landscape. From the ancient history of St David’s peninsula to the sweeping beaches of Marloes Sands discover the wild and wonderful on a visit to Pembrokeshire. Pembrokeshire National Trust highlights include Colby Woodland Gardens, Stackpole Estate, Bosherston Lily Ponds, Barafundle Bay, Broad Haven South, Freshwater West and The Tudor Merchant House.

Beach Clean at Freshwater West
22 Feb 10am – 12pm
Join us in the fresh air and help keep this beautiful beach clean. Grab a litter picker and help care for this beautiful stretch of coastline with a pre-season and half-term beach clean.

Colby Woodland Garden
Open Daily, 10- 5pm
Colby’s hidden wooded valley is full of surprises. With an industrial past and a secret garden, it’s the perfect place for heritage hunting and natural play.

Welsh Wildlife Centre
Open Wed 14th Feb – Sun 18th Feb with special half term activities on 14th-16th
The Welsh Wildlife Centre team have planned an exciting range of indoor and outdoor nature & craft activities to keep the family happy, whatever the weather!
Starting on 14th February until 16th February 2024 activities are suitable for children aged 3+ and cost just £4 each. Adults may also pay to participate in the craft activities too!
Due to limited availability, we highly recommend that you book in advance either over the phone (01239 621600) or in person Wednesdays to Sundays 10am-4pm. You may also email g.taylor@welshwildlife.org leaving a contact number for the People & Wildlife Officer to get back to you. *Please do not leave booking requests on the answerphone.

Picton Castle
Wildlife Week
12-16 February
In half-term join Picton Castle Gardens for a day of family wildlife-themed activities. They have a wildlife walk with staff, insect themed trail, otter talks & owl flying displays. There are family activities in the Heritage centre and gift of wildflower seeds for each child, (and board games available in the gallery).
Winter admission is £7.25 adults, £3.50 children. Season pass holders free. All activities included in admission.
Dogs on leads welcome (sadly not in the Owl Garden). Maria’s restaurant is open but the castle remains closed until 1st March.

A Wee Quest!
15 – 17 February
If you’re seeking family activities this Half Term, consider visiting Pembroke Castle for enchanting children’s stories with our guide, Isla. Embark on a medieval adventure as Isla leads you through the castle, teaching you the art of capturing and defending a fortress, conquering a nation, vanquishing a dragon, and achieving saintly feats.
Please note that this tour involves navigating stairs within the towers and caves.
There will two sessions per day. Isla will start your quest at 12pm and 2pm and each session will last approximately one hour. All children will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Sea Môr Aquarium, Goodwick
Reopens: 10 Feb for Half- Term
The Sea Môr Aquarium is home to a variety of marine creatures, representing the diversity of life found in Welsh waters. The aquarium allows close-up views of the animals possibly only glimpsed in their natural environment. Highlights include our moon jellyfish and rock pool adventure tank, where children can touch starfish, anemones and small crabs.

This is just a taster of activities and there are lots more events planned all over Pembrokeshire as well as the usual attractions to visit. If you’re saving pennies you can take a woodland walk, visit the beach and play in the park. There are lots of free days out in Pembrokeshire to enjoy. There really is something for everyone.
