Today is day 8 of Blogtober. Are you as shocked as I am that I’m still going after a week? All being well, I will keep going this year. Today’s prompt is Autumn Fashion Loves. At the beginning of Autumn, there’s an awkward overlap where you don’t know whether to wear your summer sandals or autumn boots. I love getting to pull my old autumn and warmer clothes to the front of the wardrobe again. I’ll also look forward to seeing my summer dresses again next year- it’s nice to have a change. One of my favourite Autumn dresses is “Rebecca” an autumnal rabbit print dress from Popsy Clothing. Take a look at “Rebecca” and my Autumn Fashion Loves below:
If you know me, I expect you already know that I love and mainly wear Popsy Dresses. In the autumn you’ll generally find me wearing a Popsy dress, a chunky cardigan, bright comfy tights and boots for town or my burgundy Doc Martens for woodland walks.
Rebecca Woodland Rabbit Popsy Dress
A couple of years ago I kept getting Facebook Ads for the Rebecca Woodland Rabbit dress by Popsy. I loved the autumnal print (I adore rabbits), the colour (every autumn I get drawn to deep green and burgundy colours, saying that I love purple and dusky rosy pink at this time of year too!), the name of the dress (my eldest daughter is Rebecca) and the fact that Popsy dresses have pockets!
The dress arrived and it was so comfortable and easy to wear. I love clothes you can just “throw on and wear”. Since then I ordered a few more Popsys. They’re not “cheap” but I wear each one so often that I’ve definitely got my money’s worth. Every now and then I sell off old ones to fund my habit of buying new ones but I’ll never sell “Rebecca” and I haven’t bought new ones in ages as I have what I need. They’re made with love in the UK and are a lovely people-focused company. They even do alterations such as changing the length of the dress and sleeves. You can request the removal of the belt loops (I should do this) and pockets if you wish. In the Popsy Clothing- Froocks and Friend’s Facebook Group I’ve seen them do additional alterations for medical equipment etc too.

Pale Burgundy Knit Long Puff Sleeve Cardigan
I love to wear my green Rebecca dress with burgundy, grey or green coloured cardigans. My bargain burgundy cardigan is no longer available at Peacocks as I bought it many years ago. But I found this Pale Burgundy Knit Long Puff Sleeve Cardigan from New look. It’s an open-front cardi with long puff sleeves and made in a soft knit fabric. It looks great paired with many outfits this autumn- and will keep you warm and cosy too.

As I wear dresses a lot, I often wear tights. I used to go through tights like anything. Then I discovered Snag tights and then Popsy started making amazing tights too. Both brands do bright colours, big stretchy sizes and, in my experience, the tights don’t shrink or bobble as other tights do. If I’m putting in a Popsy order then I’ll stock up on Popsy tights too. Otherwise, I’ll order from Snag Tights – but once you have a few pairs, you rarely have to order more as they last AGES!
Sparkly Green Beanie Hat
Okay, so this is definitely more of a “what I wear” rather than a style post! At this time of year, my bobble hat is my best friend. I team this sparkly green beanie with my Rebecca Popsy dress. As I mentioned in my Autumn Bucket List, I want to knit some wrist warmers too. I’ll have to look in my stash and see if I have a suitable green or burgundy…
What are you wearing this autumn? My 2022 style fashion trend prediction is warm and cosy…
