Once a person gets into keeping fit, they soon start longing for all the relevant paraphernalia. Although it is possible to have free hobbies, there are always things that are going to make your pastime a little easier or more fun. When you’re looking for a gift for your sporty friends it can be difficult as if they really need something, they may have it already or require certain specifications.
Read our post, top five gifts for fitness fanatics for inspiration:

- A Luxury, Personalised Water Bottle
The trick when your recipient already has everything they need, is to gift them a replacement consumable. Even reusable bottles never last forever and it can be handy to have more than one anyway. Therefore a water bottle is always a welcome gift. Make it special by treating them to the fancy bottle they’ve been feeling guilty about buying for themselves. To make it thoughtful, make it personal. You could buy a personalised bottle from a small business of if you have a die cutter, such as a Cricut, personalise it yourself. As well as their name, you could add a motivational quote, which will encourage them during their exercising.

2. A Sports Watch or Watch Strap
Fitness folk are very particular about their sports watches, fitness trackers and smart watches. These only make a great gift if you know exactly which one the recipient wants. Then, they’re perfect! My mum and sisters got together and bought me one for Christmas a few years ago and I was so grateful and still use it every day. If your recipient already has their ideal sports watch then instead look at getting them accessories to enhance their user experience. Extra watch straps are always a good choice whether they need a new one or just want to mix up their look for fun.

It’s so handy to have spare watch straps for your smart watch. Occasionally you need to replace a broken, worn or stained strap. But also it’s great to have different watch straps to mix and match to go with different outfits and occasions. The Watch Strap Co sell luxury apple watch straps suitable for all occasions. Personally, I like to have a silicone strap for sports and fitness, a vegan leather strap for everyday use and a stainless steel strap for special occasions (WsC® also give you the option to add an ethically sourced diamond to the stainless steel straps, which would make a truly luxurious gift for a special someone). My favourite watch strap is the WsC® Fury – Rose Gold strap (currently £65), pictured above in silver. It’s also available in Gold, Black and Silver and Rose Gold. It’s classic, understated and perfect for evenings out and special occasions. Generally from day to day I constantly wear my silicone strap, but I like to swap them around if I have a lunch date, work meeting or special occasion.

3. Sports Massage
As a fitness fanatic, your gift recipient may be no stranger to sports injuries, particularly if they’re into marathon and ultra sports. Give them the ultra luxury gift- a voucher for a local sports massage to help them recover and even improve their future performance. Alternatively, if they’re not keen on “going for a massage” perhaps they’d love to own their own sports massage gun to use when needed? You’ll know what’s best for their needs, whichever you choose they will be so grateful to have all their tension, aches and pains massaged away…

4. Relax with Bath Goodies
Even the most active people need to stop and relax from time to time. Encourage your fitness friend to take time to chill by gifting them a luxury muscle soothing bath soak or you could even put a hamper of bath goodies together for them. Include Epsom salts for muscle recovery and essential oils such as arnica to help heal or lavender to relax. For a personal touch make a playlist of both your favourite songs for them to enjoy too.

5. Celebrate Their Achievements with a Trophy Shelf or Medal Hanger
Show your gift recipient that their sporting achievements are important to you too with a gift to showcase their medals and or trophies. You could gift them a trophy shelf or medal hanger. Alternatively frame one of their sporting event photographs with their medal and results information for a personalised gift. Another thoughtful gift is a Personalised Blue Plaque to show that someone with such sporting prowess lives at their address or even a fitness journal to record their training and achievements.
I hope these ideas have given you inspiration for special gifts for the fitness fanatic in your life. Pin the post below to come back to this page when needed:
