Caroline Sabin’s new show In Pursuit of Maud heads to the Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire this March. it is the sequel to her sell out dark comedy sell-out show, Mysterious Maud’s Chambers of Fantastical Truth.

In Pursuit of Maud
In Pursuit of Maud is an uplifting journey of curiosity, hope and reunion from Cardiff based Caroline Sabin Theatre Company. With echoes of much-loved tales such as Jekyll and Hyde and Frankenstein and an emphasis on the mad scientist character, In Pursuit of Maud tells the story of Igor, a simple soul, who lives in a castle with his mistress ‘Mad’ Scientist Maud. Together they do mad scientist things like generating electricity by rubbing two cats together or creating an octopus with the head of a vole. You know…normal stuff. Yet one day, an experiment goes horribly wrong and Igor finds himself lost, with only himself capable of saving his beloved Maud.
A Darkly Comic and Visually Beautiful Cabaret Show
In this darkly comic and visually beautiful cabaret style show the deranged, hilarious and deeply musical Igor will delight the audience with songs, jokes, slapstick and story. Through words and a magical projected backdrop created by Bafta award winner Chris Crow, we travel across iconic landmarks of Wales and discover Igor’s origins in a freak show, his life of bizarre science with Maud, his deep longing to be reunited with his Mistress, and a secret about his past which we will learn before he does.

Award winning artist Caroline Sabin is an eclectic and collaborative maker of visual and kinetic treats. Immersive, touching, funny and creepy her shows, films and installations incorporate movement, image, text and song to deliver work that is visually exquisite and deeply entertaining.
Sabin is the maker of A Curious Zoo, Blood on the Snow and Mysterious Maud’s Chambers of Fantastical Truth. Since 2012 all her work has sold out in her hometown of Cardiff, promising a joyful experience for all. She also manages to sneak some clever science in for good measure.
