It is thought that his walks through this path inspired him to write the third part of this famous work, ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra’ (1883-1885).

This colourful town also features a chapel, citadel, town hall, several museums, a beautiful garden, and an open-air theatre. Visit on a Wednesday or Saturday for a chance to shop at the twice weekly market, where you can buy fresh produce like fruit & veg, cheese, and olive oil and beautiful flowers, ceramics, and fabrics.
