A visit to the French Riviera is always an amazing vacation. Make it the trip of a lifetime by experiencing it on a yacht. Here are just ten (of many!) highlights of a luxury yacht charter in the French Riviera:

1. Cocktails on the Yacht
Cocktails are always better on holiday! The best way to enjoy a cocktail is relaxing on your comfortable yacht in French Riviera, soaking in the beautiful Mediterranean sea views. Absolute bliss!

2. Yacht Spotting at Cap d’Antibes
There are around 30 marinas on the French/Italian border. Of these, Cap d’Antibes is one of the largest marinas in the world and possibly one of the best to enjoy a spot of “yacht watching”. Take in the sights of eye catching and super yachts. You never know who you’ll see aboard too…

3. The Picasso Museum, Antibes
Pablo Picasso spent a lot of time on the French Riviera. A visit to the Picasso Museum, in Antibes, is essential. This museum is dedicated to the well-known Spanish painter, sculptor and printmaker. It also showcases works of other artists including paintings and sculptures by Joan Miró Nicolas de Stael, Anna-Eva Bergman, Hans Hartung and many more.

4. Eat at a Waterside Restaurant
With 100 miles of coast and over 3000 restaurants, you will be spoilt for choice on the French Riviera. Of course, you can enjoy delicious meals on your comfortable yacht with a sea view, but it’s also nice to come ashore and eat at a waterside restaurant such as La Maison de Bâcon in Antibes.

5. Swim in the Sea
Anchor up your yacht, and dive straight into the Mediterranean blue sea for the perfect swim. There’s no feeling like it in the world.

6. Visit Île de Porquerolles
You must take a visit to Île de Porquerolles, this island is protected so you can visit on foot or bike only. Stroll around the quaint villages and enjoy the natural wildlife.

7. Visit Lérins Abbey, Saint-Honorat Island
Visit the picturesque Lérins Abbey on Saint-Honorat Island. This island is home to Cisterian monks who make a renowned white wine to enjoy during your visit.
8. Visit Villefranche-sur-Mer – The Most Beautiful Bay in the World

During your trip, you will visit many beautiful bays, but Villefranche-sur-Mer is known as the most beautiful bay in the World. It’s one of the deepest natural harbours of any port in the Mediterranean Sea and is embraced by the Cap of Nice on the right and Cap Ferrat on the left. The quaint Old Town of Villefranche cascades down the hillside to the sea, and there is one kilometre of sandy beach to enjoy.

9. Visit Èze, a Medieval Village
A visit to Èze, a medieval village perched on the cliffs is essential. It’s picturesque at every twist and turn. Another highlight will be walking along Le Chemin de Nietzsche, a path that connects Eze Village to Eze-sur-Mer. The German Philosoper, Nietzsche, used to walk this path during his stays in Nice. It is thought that his walks through this path inspired him to write the third part of this famous work, ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra’ (1883-1885).

10. Visit an Authentic French Town
While in France, you must visit an authentic French town, such as Villefranche-sur-Mer. This colourful town also features a chapel, citadel, town hall, several museums, a beautiful garden, and an open-air theatre. Visit on a Wednesday or Saturday for a chance to shop at the twice weekly market, where you can buy fresh produce like fruit & veg, cheese, and olive oil and beautiful flowers, ceramics, and fabrics.
