The countdown to Christmas has begun and weekends are beginning to feel more festive. Our decorations aren’t up yet but we’re enjoying seeing the seasonal gifts and trimmings all around us at the moment. We love our outdoor days out but at this time of year, on a cold wet day, there are lots of indoor experiences to make the most of instead. Take a look at these cosy outfits for winter weekends that Rebecca wore:

Christmas Shopping
Some people always love shopping, personally, I don’t usually find Christmas shopping on the high street enjoyable. It’s too busy for me and I end up feeling stressed and exhausted. However, I do enjoy a relaxed look around one or two shops to get me in the Christmas spirit. We’ve recently been popping into one or two of our local independent shops in our town before going out for our Wednesday lunch. At the weekend, we also went to a local department store as we love their Christmas displays and decorations. Being a department store it’s the perfect place to pick up Christmas gifts too, as there’s something for everyone.
We took our time and enjoyed seeing all the festive delights. I used to love taking the kids to Santa’s Grotto here.
For this day out, Rebecca wore a Rust Sleeveless Tank Top, Oversized Midi Cardigan & Joggers Three-Piece Knitted Loungewear Set – Larisa (size: 10/12, currently £32.99 at time of publishing). This loungewear set looks so gorgeous in this deep rust colour. The side split hem detailing is so pretty. It’s comfortable and easy to wear, popping the cosy cardigan over the tank top to keep nice and warm.

We walked through a winter wonderland of Christmas trees…

…and saw The Singing Penguins- The Snow Drifters, who are raising money for a great cause, The Alzheimers’s Society. We loved looking around and picked up a few Christmas presents and got inspiration for others.

Festive Drinks
Another exciting moment at this time of year is when the festive menus get released- we love a festive drink! So, as an “after weekly shopping” treat (we all need them!), we headed to the cafe. Rebecca has a seasonal hot chocolate- peppermint flavour. it was delicious. I had a gingerbread latte with soya milk. I’m so grateful when there is a vegan option for Christmas treats on the menu.

A trip to the cafe is essential during Christmas shopping- refreshment is much appreciated. Therefore a local garden centre or department store is an ideal day out during a winter’s weekend.

Cosy Christmas Film
We also love our cosy afternoons at home during this time of year. It will be even more special once we have the decorations up. Relaxing at home to watch a cosy Christmas film (there are so many to choose from on Netflix at the moment!), Rebecca wears a Stone Off The Shoulder Jumper & Drawstring High Waisted Joggers Knitted Loungewear Set – Christina (size: 14, currently £22.99, price correct at time of publishing). This knitted loungewear set is very comfortable for chilling indoors while it’s cold outside.

Grab a hot chocolate or cup of tea and some snacks and you’re sorted for the afternoon.

This stone knitted loungewear suit features an off the shoulder style jumper; drawstring, high waisted joggers and is made of a knitted material in a regular fit.

It’s so comfortable to lounge in but smart enough so if she still needed to pop out she wouldn’t need to change.
Winter Weekends
Of course, we will still be heading outdoors, whatever the weather. But it is lovely to be able to spend winter weekends looking at festive displays and in cafes. Where do you like to visit at this time of year?
