Your garden has had plenty of work done to it, and you’ve finally managed to get it to a condition where you’re proud of what you see. There’s plenty of sunshine around at the moment, and you can sit out there and relax – but when you do, maybe you’ve noticed a few spots that still need a bit of work?
The garden is an ongoing project that’s ever-changing by nature. And to help you work out where and what you need to do to really get the job done, we’ve listed a few points of inspiration below.
A More Concise Layout
How does your garden seem to fold together? Maybe there are plants all over the place, and there’s no clear pathway through it all, and you’re just not sure where that shingle is even supposed to be… And maybe you like it like this; wild, overgrown gardens are very popular!
However, a more concise layout would certainly help you to garden more efficiently in the future, as well as allow you to plan out any future planting or patio ideas much more clearly. You can check out some advice for managing a project like this right here; you’ll be able to build a more sociable, beautiful space in the long term.
A Cleaner Exterior
How does your garden infrastructure look to you? This includes anything from the planter boxes on your lawn bed all the way up to sheds and/or the back wall of your home. And when you cast an eye over them, what do you notice? Because if they’re dirty and have faded in colour over the years, it’s time to get them seen to!
Start with a brush to knock off as much dirt as possible, and even think about power washing if the job is big enough. Indeed, you’ll even want to get the windows washed down as well, as regular gardening can cause them to become very dirty. Get in touch with a company like Labor Panes to ensure the job is done properly, and your panes are left sparkling by the end.
A Bit More Colour
Colour is always going to be a good thing to see in the garden, but how much colour is currently in yours? Maybe it’s wall to wall green, or maybe you favour reds and purples over yellows and pinks? Either way, it might be time to introduce some complementary colours to really help bring out the best in your outdoor space.
Even in just the space of one bed, mixing together red and green plants, such as Roses and Chrysanthemums, will really make that bed pop and come alive. Similarly, sunflowers bordered by violets will help to create a harmonious colour flow around the border of the main garden lawn.
So, your garden might need a bit of a touch up here and there. From adding some more colour, to making sure the layout makes sense, you’ve got a lot of creative freedom on your side!
