The idea of having a job that allows you to engage in other activities is something many people desire. However, there are many reasons why most people will not be able to travel as much as they want including family and the type of job they do. You do not need to quit your job because you want to travel, and your finances do not need to suffer because of that, and that is why we have compiled a list of the best five jobs that will allow you to travel.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is one of the best job options that will give you the freedom to travel. But it is a job that requires some research, and once you can find the perfect niche, you can convert it into a money-making venture. The competition in this field is high, with hundreds of blogs and websites struggling for their share of the audience. The nature of the job only requires you to include product links in your blogs and websites, and you will get a commission for every purchase made through the product link. You can make a steady paycheck from this job, which is what you need to fulfil your travel dreams.
Travel/Tourism Industry
It is an easy choice for anyone who enjoys being on the road all the time. While a job in your local tourism and travel industry might be a great option, doing it while you travel opens you up for networking possibilities and an opportunity to see the world. The travel and tourism industry is quite broad, so you need to find the sector of the industry that you want to work.
Any Type of Blogging
Everyone is familiar with blogging whether as a ready or as a writer. For many people, blogging is like a diary where they share their life’s experiences with an audience. Now, you do not need to stick to travel blogging as there are many topics and subjects that you can write about. The blogging industry is extremely competitive, but if your content is great, the possibilities are endless.
Construction Work
It is not for everyone, but if you have some experience in construction, you will find short-term jobs on your travels. Depending on your experience, you can find a high-paying construction job even while you travel.
Voiceover
Voiceover is one of the best jobs that will allow you to visit multiple countries while getting paid. Most voiceover artists have home recording studios, but with travel recording equipment you can carry your job with you wherever you travel. Starting a voiceover career can be tough because it takes time to find clients since you are a beginner. However, there is no need to worry thanks to websites like voquent.com created for voiceover talents.
If you are determined to travel and make a living, you will make it work for you. One of my friends travels the world in his boat and fixes other people’s boats while at each destination.
Do you travel the world and make money? How do you make it work for you?
I worked in financial services for 40 years, and my husband worked in IT. We lived and worked in Bahrain, the US, Switzerland and Abu Dhabi. Not only did we get to spend several years in each of those places, but we also got to travel to neighboring countries for work and for vacation. For example, when working in Bahrain, I went to Kuwait and Oman several times on business, when in the US I worked on a project in Toronto, another in Stockholm and another in Madrid as well as projects all over the US. In Abu Dhabi I worked for the Central Bank (like the Bank of England), and got to travel to all of the 6 emirates doing various projects for the UAE federal goverment. So long as you have skills that are useful in any country, it’s quite easy to find jobs abroad. We finally came back to the UK when our kids were teenagers, as we thought it best for their education.
