I have to admit that I fell out of love with headphones when “in ear headphones” became the norm. They’ve never felt comfortable to me and always pop out of my ears. To this day, I’m not sure if it’s the headphones or my odd shaped ears that are to blame. Therefore, despite loving music, I’ve always chosen to exercise headphone free. Since the rise of wireless headphones the variety of different types of headphones and their uses has increased and there’s now a pair of headphones out there to suit practically everyone and their preferred choice of exercise, take a look at my top choices:
Headphones in the Gym
If the music played at your gym isn’t to your taste you can now play your own motivational work out playlist and listen to them on wireless headphones of your choice.
These funky looking Wireless Folding Bluetooth Headphones with Mic are perfect for the gym, commuting, work, running and sports. They come in 5 colours and are reduced from £34.99 to only £9.99.
Headphones for Running
I usually run with friends or my daughters so I prefer to be music free. I love listening to the birds and sea as I run too. However, I want to increase my runs so this means getting out there on my own more. To increase my confidence and motivation I’ve bought a wireless headband which I find far comfier than in ear headphones. It will be great for using running apps too!
This FENGMAN Wireless Bluetooth Headband is so comfortable and can be used for yoga, sports, running and even as sleep headphones. It costs just £4.64.
For winter runs this CLNDY Bluetooth Beanie Music Soft Warm Hat Cap will keep your head warm and while allowing you to listen to your music without having to wear additional headphones. It costs just £5.49.
Headphones for Swimming
I have to admit, using headphones for swimming sounds wrong to me. I’m just getting used to being able to bring my action camera and phone (while in it’s waterproof case) into the water with me. Again, I mostly love chatting with friends and enjoying the sounds of the waves and lapping water while I’m in the sea but I’d like to start putting my head down and swimming further. In that case music will be great to motivate me in solo swims and for swimming lengths in the pool too.
For those of you able to wear in ear headphones there are lots of waterproof pairs available. If, like me, your prefer over ear headphones consider AZK Bluetooth Headphones 4.2 Neckband Waterproof with Mic. The ZK AZ-05 use newest Bluetooth 4.2 chip, transmission range arrived 33 feet, dual setup/excellent audio performance ensures powerful crystal clear heights with high fidelity. They cost just £9.74.
