We were sent this Scruff-a-Luvs Blossom Bunny for purposes of review.
Are you really a parent if your children haven’t asked for a pet rabbit at some point in their lives? I remember asking for one when I was younger and now my kids ask beg me for a bunny friend too. We’re not in a position to have a real rabbit of our own as we wouldn’t be able to give it enough time, space and care, but if we did ever consider getting one we’d definitely adopt a rescue rabbit in need of a home. Scruff-a-Luvs are a range of soft toys that encourage children to rescue unloved and abandoned pets and we were invited to review a Limited Edition Blossom Bunnies Scruff-a-Luvs. Read on to find our our thoughts about the Scruff-a-Luvs blossom Bunny and to see what adventure we bought them on:
Limited Edition Blossom Bunnies
In Scruff-a-Luvs Series 1 there were nine different Scruff-a-Luvs to collect featuring three different animals. You had to rescue and reveal to find our which animal pet you were adopting- a dog, a cat or a rabbit?
In the Limited Edition Blossom Bunnies Scruff-a-Luvs they are (as the name suggests) all Bunnies – perfect for Spring and Easter gifts. This time adopters rescue and reveal to discover which mystery colour bunny they will adopt- will they rescue Lemon Drizzle, Posie or Peppermint? Which one did we receive? Read on to find out.
Limited Edition Blossom Bunnies Scruff-a-Luvs cost £19.99 and are available from all good toy shops, including Amazon (currently £19.35). They come in a pet carrier style cardboard box.
We couldn’t wait to “release” our Scruff-a-Luv and to find out what was inside.
What’s inside the Box?
Inside the box we found our Blossom Bunny curled up into a ball, a brush, crown and adoption certificate. Can you guess which mysterious Blossom Bunny we received (the clue is in the colour)?
Even as a poor, matted, curled up ball, Izzy loved her Blossom Bunny and began to cuddle it straight away.
How to Reveal Your Blossom Bunny
To reveal your Scruff-a-Luv, soak it in warm water. We added some bubble bath but it’s optional.
Give your Blossom Bunny a good wash.
After a bath your bunny will need a rinse.
Dry the bunny with a towel. Our top tip is to pop your Blossom Bunny into the washing machine for a spin. Yes, I know you can’t do this to real bunnies but believe me, this works really well.
Brush the fur as you dry your Blossom Bunny.
Then, finish drying your Blossom Bunny’ hair with a hair dyer.
Your matted fur ball is now a cute rescued bunny! Introducing Lemon Drizzle!
Isabelle filled in the adoption certificate. I used to love doing this for my special toys.
Give your rescue Scruff-a-Luv lots of love and cuddles!
Our Blossom Bunny Adventure
We thought our new rescue bunny, Lemon Drizzle, might like to make some new bunny friends so we hopped along to Hoppington Green at Manor Wildlife Park.
Hoppington Green is home to gorgeous giant Flemish rabbits. They each have a large hutch house to live and lots of space to roam and play.
The Flemish rabbits are very friendly and like to be stroked and petted. When they want time alone (as we all do from time to time) they hop onto the grassy areas or into their homes while visitors keep to the paths.
We loved getting to see these giant Flemish rabbits and Lemon Drizzle made lots of new friends.
Sorry Lemon Drizzle, it’s time to go home but we will visit our rabbit friends again.
Bunnies love Spring, so Lemon Drizzle was happy to spot some snowdrops, Easter will soon be on the way…
Manor Wildlife Park is a conservation led animal park. Scruff-a-Luvs is a proud supporter of the RSPCA. By adopting a Scruff-a-Luv, you will be helping them to donate over £10,000 to the RSPCA so that they can help real animals find their forever homes. Head of brands and marketing at Worlds Apart, Logan Stone said:
Scruff-a-Luvs™ is all about animal rescue and adoption, showcasing how you can discover the true beauty and personality of an animal with a little bit of TLC.
