I know I’ve mentioned it many times over the years but all of our kids love both books and LEGO so even better when we combine the two with a LEGO book. Penwizard kindly sent Isabelle a personalised “Search and Find” book, read on for our review and a chance to win a Penwizard LEGO “Where’s Your Child?” book of your own:
Isabelle is wandering the crowded streets of LEGO city. This Search-and-Find book is teeming with amazing detailed scenes starring all your favourite LEGO City Characters.
Once you’ve found Isabelle, there are loads more cool things to look for. It’s hours of LEGO fun!
Search and Find books are great for keeping kids amused for ages. They’re also educational, they help children to develop their hand and eye coordination and observational skills and are a great tool for improving the eye tracking skills needed for reading. Most importantly however, they can encourage a love of books for even the most reluctant reader.
Designing a Penwizard Personalised LEGO Book
It is quick and easy to design your LEGO character as the choices are quite basic. You can also choose hair colour, facial expression, glasses, colour and design of top and colour bottoms (we went for blue as Isabelle loves her jeans!).
You can also add a gift message for you child which makes the book a lovely memento to treasure. Izzy was so happy reading her message!
Penwizard Search and Find LEGO Book
The book contains 11 different LEGO city scenes and 16 LEGO Isabelle’s to find (as 5 of the scenes have a “Spot the Difference” activity too).
For younger children, adults can read the text on each page to set the scene and children can search for their LEGO figure. Older children will enjoy reading the whole book themselves. Danny struggled with reading when he was younger and loved these type of books as he could enjoy them without even trying to read a word. I was determined to nurture a love of books even though reading didn’t come as naturally to him as the girls. It paid off and it’s so rewarding to see him enjoying reading now.
Can you spot LEGO Isabelle?
Izzy enjoyed finding all of the LEGO Isabelle’s and looking at everything happening on each page- there’s so much to see. I’m sure she’ll spot something new each time she rereads it!
Once your child has had a practice finding all of their LEGO characters there are more search and find challenges on the last page. Isabelle also enjoyed setting her own challenges- “I’m going to find all of the dogs!”. We also enjoyed setting challenges for each other and playing “I Spy” within this book.
This Personalised LEGO® Book: Where’s Your Child costs £17.49 (large softback) and £22.49 (large hardback) plus P&P. It makes a very thoughtful gift for LEGO loving children and will keep your child amused for ages (definitely one to pack while travelling!).
Penwizard sell more character personalised books too, there is something to choose for everyone!
