Halloween is just around the corner. For a lot of parents (yes I am talking about us!), they have just as much fun dressing up as their children do. If you are the sort of family that likes to go trick or treating together, you are going to love the family Halloween costumes mentioned below. We tend to go full on scary but here are some different suggestions. Read on to find some amazing ideas.
Cops and robbers – If you are looking for something easy, cops and robbers is definitely a good place to start. For the robbers, all you need is some black trousers, a striped black top, a black beanie hat, and an eye mask. You could also get a tote bag with a black dollar sign on it for your treats. You then need at least one person to dress up as a cop.
Dinosaurs – This is a great one because you can get so many incredible dinosaur costumes. Take a look at this hidden legs dinosaur costume to get a good idea of some of the amazing costumes that are out there. Imagine four of these dinosaurs heading down the street. You are guaranteed to get the entire neighbourhood talking.
Avengers assemble – Are you a family of Avenger fans? If so, why not all dress up as superheroes? You have plenty to choose from if you go down the Avenger rout. From the Hulk to Captain America and Iron Man, you have all of the classics.
The Royal Family – The Royal Family is a good one to go for if you have a small child. There are many different ways you can go about this one as well. Of course, if you have children, William and Kate would be the obvious choice. You can channel the iconic velvet jacket look that Prince William wore on his wedding day. Or, maybe you want to dress as the Queen? Harry and Meghan’s wedding this year is likely to give rise to a lot of people going for this option as well.
Fun on a bun – Your children may not thank you if they are dressed up as a hot dog and burger. However, at least they can take pleasure in you and your partner being dressed up as a bottle of ketchup and a bottle of mustard each.
The family circus – What about circus-themed costumes for the entire family? This is another theme that has plenty of scope. From the strong man to cute lion costumes, there is something for everyone in the family.
Halloween in Wonderland – Last but not least, Alice in Wonderland makes another excellent choice for your family because each costume is different and when put together the ensemble is easily recognizable. From the Mad Hatter to Alice herself, there is no denying the costumes are a lot of fun too!
Hopefully, you now feel like you have plenty of different costume ideas that are suitable for your child and the rest of your family this Halloween. Which one will you choose?
