The last few weeks have flown by so quickly there has been no spare time for child free coffee or lunch dates so I was grateful to go out for lunch with Mum and Jo on Friday. We didn’t book but thankfully managed to get a table at Gingers (last time we planned to visit here there were no tables available so it can get busy).
I love coming to Gingers as there are so many vegan options- it’s going to take me a while to try everything especially as the menu changes.
They usually have soya milk and their soy lattes are delicious. I didn’t check on this visit as I fancied a refreshing peppermint tea so chose “Mint Breeze”. I love the table decorations and cast iron teapot. My teapot was like a magic lamp pouring never ending cups of tea- perfect!
I fancied the vegan breakfast- saute spinach potatoes, two vegan sausages, laverbread cake, roast mushrooms and “baker” beans with a choice of bread. As you can see it was a very generous size and more than filled me up. The tastes all blended together nicely, it was very tasty.
In the past I’ve also tried the sweet potato, red lentil and coconut curry and the vegan hassleback jacket potatoes and can recommend all three dishes.
Breakfasts are served all day alongside brunch, light bites and hearty meals.
Afternoon tea is also available (book ahead at least 24 hours in advance) and they are able to provide gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian afternoon teas (oh go on then i’ll try one for you one day…).
The staff are always welcoming and friendly, enjoy eating here and will be back- thanks Gingers!
