I have to admit that when I became a vegan I didn’t miss having a chocolate advent calendar at all as I haven’t had one since I was a child. Last year however I was excited to spot a couple of dairy free advent calendars in the local supermarkets but by the time I decided to buy one for Rebecca they had all sold out. This year I was determined to have one just out of principle! In fact I ended up buying five- one for myself, Rebecca, Andy and I also have two spare to giveaway (read on for a chance to win one in this post). Thankfully there are still plenty of vegan advent calendars left to buy before December 1st- take a look:
5 Vegan Advent Calendars
1. Chocologic Free From Milk, Gluten & Wheat Advent Calendar, £2.50
I was pleased to see that all of the major supermarkets sold Dairy Free Advent Calendars this year (yay!). They all seem to have sold out online but do check out your local stores. Between them they sell a selection of own brand, Chocologic and Moo Free advent calendars. I picked up the Chocologic Free From Advent Calendar for £2.50 and they had lots of stock available at my local Tesco. They are still available online from Amazon here but at an inflated £15.99 (gulp!) so definitely check in store first (and enter my competition for the chance to win a free one!).
2. Divine Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar, £4.95
This gold, luxurious Divine Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar is beautifully illustrated with fun facts about wildlife behind every door and each chocolate is a cute animal shape. It’s also for a good cause as 3p from every calendar is donated to the Woodland Trust. It’s available online from Ethical Shop.
3. Montezuma’s Organic & Vegan Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar, £9.99
Adhering to the Lutheran Advent tradition this beautiful calendar has 24 windows. Behind each door is a pure Organic 73% Cocoa Dark Chocolate making this calendar perfect for dark chocolate fans and those on a dairy free diet. Available at Montezuma’s online.
4. Hotel Chocolat: The Dark Chocolate Advent Calendar, £12.50
This luxurious calendar contains 24 Christmas sculptures cast in 70% dark chocolate. Let the countdown begin with this vegan friendly chocolate advent calendar available from Hotel Chocolat.
