It’s the first day of September and Autumn is well and truly on the way.  I’ve taken a break from buying back to school clothes and accessories  for the kids to create an Autumn fashion wishlist for myself.  I love going into a fresh new season and seeing all the new collections.  Take a look at my choices:

An Autumn essential every year is a good pair of comfortable black boots, especially a pair of knee high boots.  They’re so practical and look great day or night teamed with a dress.  I love Heavenly Soles (available at Simply Be)  range of boots as they come in different calf and shoe widths.  I always choose the leather free option.

I love Joe Browns Peggy Sue dress for the day.  It’s a flattering fit with a vivid autumnal print.  The shape gives it quite a 70’s retro feel. I would style it with black knee high and a black bowler bag.

Autumn is the perfect time to choose a new party dress as the “Christmas party” ranges are out.  Scarlett & Jo always have a fabulous collection of sophisticated evening dresses with a vintage style.  The polka dot mesh dress is so flattering with a v-neckline, cinched waist and full skirt.  I’d wear it with heels and an evening bag.  The kitsch pineapple box clutch bag would certainly make a statement.

What are your autumn wardrobe essentials?
