Since our holiday I haven’t been on many days out or to any events. We’ve all had a touch of flu (sore throats, temperatures and aches) that’s made us all just need to rest up (as much as we can anyway). I’m not complaining, I know there’s far worse going on elsewhere, just explaining why we’ve been lying low. Last weekend was our town Founder’s Day and we would usually have been there supporting the event but it wasn’t to be. Thankfully by the Tuesday, three of us felt well enough to attend the Town Band’s Open Air Concert. It was a lovely relaxed event, here are some photos:
The Town Band playing in front of our Town Hall. The main Town Band and the Junior Town Band both played very well.
There were quite a few kids there from different schools but they all got together and played while listening to the music.
Cousins!
Hide and seek!
Everyone brings their own chairs, blankets, food and drink.
Me and my girls (two of them anyway!).
Jo in the trees! Whenever “baby Danny” was in the Memorial Gardens he used to love us lifting him near the leaves as we said “in the trees!” and he’d give us cute baby giggles! I don’t think I could lift him “in the trees” anymore but he still climbs them!
Milford Haven Town Band will also be playing at the Memorial Gardens on the 4th July and at the Torch Theatre on the 15th July with special guests. We’re looking forward to both shows.
