We have a new addition to the household- meet Jimu our robot (here he is pictured being programmed to bring us a drink -a very handy trick I’m sure you’ll agree). Read on to find out more:

To get started, scan the barcode (install a QR reader if you don’t yet have one), download the free app and it will guide you through the step by step instructions.
I know it’s “only the packaging” but these bright boxes please me a lot.
Danny built the robot which involves snapping the pieces together with no need for tools.
Danny loves building things so I left him to this for while and he happily finished putting Jimu together.
Once Jimu was complete we began to move Jimu with the pre programmed actions. He has six servo motors and an infra red sensor.
The kids all had fun getting him to walk, exercise, dance, pick things up and even dab!
We discovered that a lift followed by a dab means he throws the cup which made us all laugh!
In live camera mode we can film Jimu and share his programs and actions with the Jimu global online community.
After getting used to the pre programmed actions kids can move onto making Jimu move using block coding, making this a fun way to encourage your families STEM learning.
