I have real sideboard envy at the moment. I’ve wrote often on the blog about how I’m a huge fan of Scandinavian Home Style. I’m also a member of lots of mid century interior inspiration groups. When members share photos of their gorgeous homes they always have something in common – a stunning sideboard.
Some people are lucky and they inherit or find 50’s and 60’s originals. Luckily, there are lots of modern oak furniture alternatives available. Take a look at my recent finds:
I would love both these sideboards in my home. The Cadley Oak Small Sideboard with Doors would be the perfect home for my turntable and retro ornaments. Inside the double doors I could house my growing collection of vinyl records and music magazines. Above the sideboard I would hang some vintage album covers and music quotes (I have this all planned out). This sideboard is also available with drawers.
The Cadley Oak Large Sideboard would be a statement piece of furniture in our living room. This timeless sideboard would be styled for the seasons on top. Additionally, the roomy drawers and shelves would allow me to pack away our everyday clutter giving our home a streamline, minimal appearance. If placed in a dining room it could store cutlery and tableware too.
Both sideboards are inspired by the timeless look of mid century Scandinavian furniture and will suit both classical and modern styled homes.
Do you have a sideboard in your living room?
