We celebrated my big sister, Jo, Aunty Jo-Jo’s birthday at the weekend with a big takeaway (a mixture of Indian and Chinese dishes) and of course, birthday cake. Ceri was home too so the kids were pleased to have both of their Aunty’s together. Here are some pics:
Jo had a delicious cake of course and the chocolate strawberry pudding was quickly put together by Rebecca to make sure we had a vegan option- it looked and tasted so good!
Jo hasn’t had the easiest of years since suffering a stroke in June 2014. The recovery and rehabilitation is a long and constant process and she still has paralysis and weakness on her left side. We are so proud of the way she gets up and lives life to the full each day. Being a mum is always tiring, but especially so when suffering post stroke fatigue and living with a brain injury. As well as being an amazing mum, this year, Jo has also set up her own company. She is providing bookkeeping and admin services for businesses and has also became an Independent Phoenix Trader, which is very handy for me as I can easily stock up on birthday cards for those last minute weekend school parties!
Good luck, Jo! Enjoy the last year of your thirties- I have a feeling it’s going to be a good year! xxx
