I picked Izzy up from school yesterday as usual. She was so excited as it’s her “Harvest Festival” on Friday and they’ve been learning lots of new songs. She asked if we could make a video of her singing some of them. We had a go, but each time she was shy when the camera was on her and didn’t want to sing. It was fun filming for a change instead of taking lots of school run photos so I decided to keep filming her naturally and made a short iphone movie of our walk home instead.
It’s very rough and quickly put together but I know I’ll love looking back at “little Izzy” in the years to come so I’m sharing it anyway! The tune is “Portland” by American Hi-Fi and although the words as a whole song aren’t relevant to our video I wanted to use it as we both love the song and whenever Izzy runs ahead I always sing the part, “Where are you running to? And, where have you been, my love?” so purely for that line it was worth putting it into one of our videos.
Even though the sun changes the picture quality I love the footage of her bouncing on the trampoline at home. She is like a bottle of pop! I’d love to have the energy and enthusiasm of a four year old.
Yesterday was also Rebecca’s 10th Birthday so we had a busy evening and I have a post about that coming up too. As her birthday was mid week we have weekend plans too!
Enjoy the rest of the week everyone. I can almost smell Friday…
Aww she is such a cutie. Love the Danny and Becca hugs at the end xx
Cute video, it will be nice to look back on with your daughter
