Although we love to make the most of the Summer Holidays having fun and relaxing (where possible anyway!), we also take this time to get ready for school in September. I always feel a bit sad when school starts again but I also love the excitement that comes with new uniform, coats, bags, shoes and my personal favourite stationery (more of that coming soon). It’s a fresh start for everyone. Joules certainly helped to put some brightness into our getting ready for school time by sending us a school bus full of goodies.
I just love the prints on these winter coats. Caitlyn is wearing the Raindrop Grey Bloom Waterproof Coat (Rebecca loves this print so I’ll have to buy it in a bigger size for her), while Izzy wears the same coat but in the Zebra print. We love the bright designs of these coats and also the warm fleece lined hoods and waterproof features.
The girls love their new bags and lunchboxes.
As these items are not dependant on size, Caitlyn chose the Munch Blue Ditsy Lunch Box, which as well as looking pretty comes with a sandwich box and a wipe clean lining.
Izzy has the same lunchbox but in this really cute Guinea Pig Design.
Izzy’s Patch Rucksack is very sweet too in this Buddie Cat print (also available in Panda, Shark and Dino style!) It’s bigger than her mini rucksack last year so will have more room to fit in everything she needs but it’s still a good size to carry easily. There is a really adorable matching purse available too.
Caitlyn chose the Patch Rucksack in blue Ditsy to match her lunchbox. It’s very roomy and has lots of pockets to store everything she needs.
I just love how all of the different prints go together in a mix and match, bright and colourful way.
The girls were also sent these Kinnaird Pack Away Jackets in lime and blue. The kids always have pack away jackets in their bags as you never know when the weather’s going to change, but we’ve never had styled padded ones like these before- I love them.
They’re storm proof and suitable for cold and wet weather
They have a lovely floral contrast print in the inner hood and are also available in pink.
We were also sent a FujiFilm Instax which the kids have wanted for ages so they were delighted. Years ago we had a Polaroid which everyone loved to use (I will never tire of “instant photos”) but sadly that broke. They loved taking photos of each other.
Caitlyn looks so cheeky here! She has been full of beans during the holidays!
There were also lots of fun masks in the school bus so we dressed up with these too (my sister actually asked me recently if I had any good face masks and I replied yes as I thought she meant ones for dressing up. Of course I then realised that she meant skin care ones! I obviously spend too much time with children.
The girls had lots of fun with their school bus and all their new Joules goodies. The bus will be a great place to keep their school reading books and homework folders. I’ve ticked a few things off our back to school list but I still have a fair bit to go- how are you all getting on?
Thanks to Joules for sending us the goodies featured in this post.
