Isabelle recently had the chance to choose some of her favourite pieces from the new JoJo Maman Bébé 2016 Autumn/Winter range. Although we have had some sunny days this Summer, we’ve also prematurely had lots of typical cooler Autumn days (and lots of wet days) which has given Izzy the opportunity to wear her new clothes earlier than we expected.
Izzy’s first choice from the new arrivals for Autumn was this Girls Yellow Mouse Skirt. It is such a fun design with a yellow polka dot print appliqued with toadstools (which Izzy once called “frog chairs” and woodland animals. I only wish it came in my size.
As well as looking good it comes in hard-wearing corduroy and washes well.
She also chose the Girl’s Peter Pan top which is available in a variety of colours. It’s a great basic top, which she can pair with leggings, skirts and under dungarees, but it has a peter pan detail collar with a picot trim to prove that everyday basics can also be pretty. It also has a popper opening at the back for ease of dressing.
Most importantly, this outfit is comfortable and allows Izzy to play carefree and not worry about getting muddy in the wood.
She also chose an adorable layered tutu skirt with stripy leggings. This is great as one of those part “dressing up”and part everyday wear pieces. Izzy likes to wear it with her fairy wings too. It can be dressed with ballerina pumps as party wear.
She follows her big sister and loves to dance so she swishes around in her tutu.
It’s so pretty. It will also make a great petticoat for her party dresses but mainly she’ll wear it as a skirt because it’s too pretty to hide!
It has an elasticated waist, so is easy to get on and off.
Sorry, I can’t resist swishing tutu photos! The tutu skirt and leggings are available in pink too.
It would look great with wellies at a family festival.
The leggings make a great basic on their own or with the skirt.
Here she layers this top with the Girl’s Vintage Style Cardigan to keep her warm in the cooler weather. This also comes in other colours- I love it in mulberry and raspberry. It’s super soft with a round neck and good quality buttons. The contrast knit detailing gives it a smart edge and she can pair this casually with jeans, or dressed up with skirts and dresses this Autumn.
I think the vintage cardigan in raspberry would go really nicely with this tutu in navy. The Yellow Mouse Cardigan would create a fun look too.
Izzy loves her new clothes. Thank you to JoJo Maman Bébé for asking her to choose some outfits.
We have always been fans of the JoJo brand. They sell clothes that are chic and fashionable but practical enough for children to wear whatever the weather as Laura Tenison originally planned to make, inspired by families in Breton. I would love them to extend their clothes range to older children.
The business began as a one person kitchen start up in Newport, Wales and they continue to believe in the ethos of putting People and the Planet above Profit.
