So here we are, very late for May’s Siblings Project but I still wanted to take part. After our last siblings photo in April, we knew that there would be a tough time ahead with our siblings being split up for a while. Thankfully Danny’s heart procedure all went well and eventually in late April we were all back together again.
The first photo that I took of the four of them all back together was playing snakes and ladders with Granny and Grampy. Not the best photo but I love how it shows just an everyday moment that we were grateful to have, the kids all back together playing naturally.
I usually take our “official” siblings photos on days out but Danny wasn’t up to joining us on our adventures when we were first home. Then on the first day that Danny did feel well enough to come out for the day, Rebecca opted to go somewhere else with family.
Luckily, this week it’s been sunny and warm and we’ve been trying to make the most of our free evenings. We had an impromptu after school walk and BBQ at one of the small, quiet local beaches. After we’d packed up Rebecca suggested we take our siblings photos by the arch, so we did.
Being so determined to get the lovely arch and sea in, I neglected to get a close up of the kids so that will be my aim next month.
They’re also all in their play clothes for the beach and poor Izzy got her leggings wet in the sea. That’s why she’s wearing Rebecca’s jacket around her waist. These siblings are always lending and borrowing clothes because they’ve got them wet or muddy!
We had to have a silhouette shot too!
And then, off we went home. May has been a strange one with catching up with life after Birmingham so I’m hoping June will be more carefree and full of lots of sibling adventures.
