This year I’m joining in with the Me and Mine Project, organised by Dear Beautiful. When we go on family adventures I spend my time holding the camera, capturing the day. I end up with lots of photos of beautiful scenes, interesting objects and my wonderful friends and family but no photos of me or my family unit all together.
This year, as well as making sure I get group photos of the four siblings together, I’m trying to either pass the camera to someone else, find somewhere to balance the camera or even make use of our (ever gathering dust) tripod to capture all six of us together.
Thank you to Ceri for taking this family portrait, it was all quickly organised on our Sunday family walk around Withybush Woods. Danny suggested a photo by the water, the kids then decided they wanted us all in order of height and a snap was taken. I would have taken more photos but then they were running off along the path for more adventure…
At the end of the year, it’s going to be amazing to look back at this series of family portraits, I wonder where they’ll be taken and what adventures as a family we have to come.
