I am so pleased to be taking part in this year’s Siblings Project I promised to join in last year but never got around to starting (the last time I joined in was April 2014- where has that time gone?). So just to put up a group siblings photo of my four in January is already an improvement for me on last year.
Early January we went to Carmarthen and managed to get a siblings photo with the giant bauble before the Christmas decorations were taken down. It was a really quick stop and shoot as it was so cold and pouring with rain but that sums up our January very well!
Then last weekend, we went to Llys Y Fran. Again it was cold and wet but I managed to get them to stand together for a short while to take some photos by the circle of stones. Isabelle didn’t want to give up her packet of cheddars for the photo!
Poor kids, we needed to get out and have fresh air as they get cabin fever staying home all weekend, but you can tell by this point they were looking forward to going home and getting warm again.
On the walk home, I decided to try again and take some photos in front of the Dam. Danny, Rebecca and Isabelle were happier in these snaps, but Caitlyn was tired and cold so we couldn’t raise a smile from her at all.
When we visited here in the Summer it was so dry there was no water at all trickling down the Dam, but there was plenty on this occasion! Izzy thought it was milk because of the white froth!
I love this photo- Izzy has lost interest, Rebecca’s lively, Danny is trying his best to get Caitlyn to take part in the photo and she’s not having any of it!
As readers know, we love our family adventures, and we never let the weather stop us going out, but I have to admit this year, we have had so much mud and rain, we’re really looking forward to a warmer spring (and no more muddy shoes and wellies to clean every day!).
So, we managed to get a photo of the four kids together, my next challenge is to take a photo of ALL six of us together for the Me and Mine Family Portrait Project – wish us luck!
