Mint Green Bathroom by Lucy Swales Interior Design |
This year, I’d thought I’d start simply with literally the “smallest room in the house”. Sadly, I don’t have the funds for the new bathroom we need, but instead I’m working with what we have and giving all our accessories a fresh start, with a fresh mint colour revamp.
When we first bought our house, the bathroom suite was in good condition, so we kept it. Unfortunately, it was a mint colour where we would have chosen a more modern white suite. I added a lot of lilac and lavender to the bathroom which complimented the mint. I seem to have finally come around to our mint suite and have found myself planning a white and mint bathroom. My mum gave me modern mint striped towels for Christmas which look stylish on our white towel rail and with a few more accessories, our bathroom has a new fresh, mint look for 2016. To find mint accessories, also search for light blue, light green, turquoise and aqua.
Take a look at these items for more mint inspiration:
Top Row: Mint Creme Luxury Candle, Home Collection Basics Aqua pedal bin, Green Polka Dot Print Cotton Towels, Wild Mint Candle
Middle Row: Pure Soap Dish, Aqua Soap Dispenser, Culture Vulture Set of 6 French Soaps, Ben de Lisi Home Blue “Broken Stripe” Towels
Bottom Row: Ben de Lisi Home Blue broken striped reversible bathmat, Wild Mint Hand Wash, Home Collection Basics Light blue bobble textured bath mat
I know the French Soap isn’t coloured mint but I love buying a fresh set of these each year. They look great in a china bowl or even on a cake stand. It wasn’t planned but I also have my cleaning products (Method Bathroom Cleaner) and Liz Earle Skin Care Products perfectly coordinated too, so it was a good choice of colour scheme! I may even make my next batch of candles mint coloured and scented.
What are your New Year plans for the home?
Love the mint colour. It looks so fresh. Just what a bathroom should be. Our plans are just to repaint a lot of the rooms x
