One question that I, and other bloggers, often get asked is where can we list, share and promote the competitions that we may run on our blogs.
In the past I answered them by listing a few good sites but more than often accidentally left out lots of the good one! Therefore, I decided to write a post listing the top ten sites that I use in case it is of use to anyone in the future. I know it will be a good checklist for me when promoting my future blog competitions. Yes, there are more than ten competition websites but ten is a manageable number as you want to share your posts as quickly as you can.
This list will can also be used to find competitions if you’re feeling lucky and wish to enter a few yourself!
Before you start adding your competition make sure you have the following information available so you can copy and paste it efficiently into the competition submission forms:
- The prize (how many and what value)
- End date
- Type of competition (I mainly run Rafflecopter competitions)
- Entry Frequency
- Competition URL
- Prize Category
- Prize value
- Competition restrictions (e.g. UK only, Over 18 etc)

Yes that’s me! I get a lot of traffic to this page from bloggers looking for places to share their competitions and compers looking for new competitions to enter, so I thought it would be great if there could be some competitions on this page to get them started. I was going to just add my own latest posts but sharing is caring so I’m inviting bloggers to share their latest blog giveaways too!

Social Media
Share
Don’t forget to share your blog competition on your own social media accounts, such as Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. Some people even share on Instagram and Google Plus too.
Look for Competition Threads in private Facebook groups and add your links (don’t spam them on group walls).
On Twitter remember to use hashtags, such as #win, #comp, #giveaway and #competition so compers can easily find your link. You can also find popular competition accounts to follow too.
Find
To find competitions to enter, join competition groups on Facebook.
On Twitter, use the hashtags mentioned above (#win, #comp, #giveaway and #competition ) to find competitions and also new comping accounts to follow.
To Share or not To Share?
Often you will find that compers have added your competition before you have a chance to add it yourself (I love it when that happens!). If you find you have low entries on a new competition and no traffic coming from the sites mentioned above then add them to some or all of the sites listed above and you will soon see a difference.
A lot of competition traffic comes from Money Saving Expert (MSE) Competition Forums. However you cannot add your own competition to this site (self promotion is frowned upon). I usually find that once I add it to a few sites a fellow comper will then add the competition to MSE for me. I only know when I see the incoming traffic. The same applies for Hot UK Deals.
Submitting your competition does not guarantee a listing. Remember to read the terms and conditions on each site and check up to date badge codes and link backs.
Please remember to link back to all of the sites promoting your competition. Here is how I end my competition posts:
