At this time of year we seem to be forever in fancy dress costumes, first there was Halloween, next is Children in Need and then it will be Christmas. CIN are encouraging us to dress up like our favourite childhood heroes on Friday. FunWarehouse.co.uk have lots of Superhero Costumes if you need to buy one. I reviewed their Morticia Addams costume for Halloween and it’s the best one I’ve seen!
The website was easy to use. There is even an Addam’s Family section and I was tempted to dress the whole family within this theme but they all had different ideas about what to dress up as (I will get them to do it one year!).
I also wore a long black, Witches Wig. I know, I already have long black hair but I feel more in character when I wear a wig too! Plus my hair is not that long. Both items arrived promptly in the post.

Obligatory scary parent with frightened child Halloween photo (she insisted on having a photo with me really!) |
They are both good quality items and I am really happy with them – especially the dress- it’s gorgeous for fancy dress clothing. I really felt like Morticia in the long sweeping dress and loved the draping arms.
I will definitely be channelling my inner Morticia again in the future! This costume could be worn for fancy dress with a TV, film or general theme too.
Dave went as a zombie! Maybe next year he’ll make an effort and do the make up too!
Rebecca went as a Zombie Pop Star (Taylor Swift apparently), Caitlyn was evil Venom and Izzy at the last minute wanted to be Tinkerbell (for weeks she has been asking to be a werewolf so I had Danny’s old costume ready but on Halloween she had a change of heart!).
Danny didn’t get to dress up as he had a Scout Bivvy Camp and Assault Course. This was why we were all rushed getting ready but it all turned out ok in the end. I didn’t get a chance to take photos of the kids but Ceri snapped these above. When I got back from the long journey dropping Danny off, their face paint had smudged off and they’d taken parts of their costumes off. Next year I’ll get the photos as soon as they’re dressed!
As usual, we went to see Great Granny and Great Grampy, Granny and Grampy and then had a party with Nanny- it was a frighteningly fun night!
Did you dress up for Halloween? What was your costume? Which Superhero would you like to dress up as?
Thanks to Fun Warehouse for sending the costume. All views and opinions are my own.
