We have been planning to visit Great Yarmouth for a long time now. Dave has family in Lowestoft and always holidayed there as a child. There is even a “Critten’s Road” in Great Yarmouth, where the old family boatyard once was and this family trade has continued as Dave now runs his own boatyard in Pembrokeshire.
I always imagine that we will visit during the summer, but actually Great Yarmouth is a great place to visit all year round. Take a look at what’s going on this Autumn:
Join the Pumpkinanza this October half-term holiday!
Wednesday 28 October – Fireworks and Pumpkinanza Carving Competition
Hone your carving skills and create your best ever pumpkin design, it’s time to enter our pumpkin carving competition! Bring your carved pumpkin along to Sealife Centre Gardens Great Yarmouth, from 4pm on Wednesday 28 October to enter into our competition. Be as creative as you like – there’s a short break at the 5 star Vauxhall Holiday Park up for grabs for the overall winner, and runners up prizes of entrance to all sorts of attractions from around the borough.
Last entry to the competition is at 6pm before the pumpkins will be judged and the winners announced on the Heart sound stage before our amazing Pumpkinanza fireworks display at 7.30pm.
Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November – Pumpkinanza Trail
Discover the 4 corners of the borough on our Pumpkinanza Trail on the last weekend of October half term! Pick up a map, then solve the clues, find the pumpkins and decipher the anagram to win a short break for up to 4 people at Vauxhall Holiday Park in 2016.
Beautifully carved pumpkins can be found at secret locations all over the borough, on display in tourist attractions, pubs and cafés all around the area.
Make sure your entry form is back with us by Friday 13 November to be entered into the prize draw to win the holiday.
