Well, we are fans of pizza in this house, we like to make pizza, order takeaway pizza, eat pizza out in restaurants and keep a pizza in the freezer for those busy days when you need a quick tea (not all on the same day, I promise!).
When Izzy was sent pizzas from Little Dish to review, we had a little pizza party! In addition to the pizzas they also sent us a lovely colour-in tablecloth (from Eggnogg), pencils, a party hat and a pizza cutter for kids (genius idea) all in a lovely hamper.
While I cooked the pizzas, Izzy and her siblings coloured in the sea themed tablecloth, while wearing her party hat, of course.
Little Dish pizzas only take 12 minutes to cook (from refrigerated) so they didn’t have long to wait! Every Little Dish toddler meal is perfectly nutritionally balanced for a one to three year old. Their new range of “My First Pizzas” are not only designed to be delicious – they also provide one portion of veg each, contain 35% less salt than the average children’s chilled pizza and of course have no added sugar, additives or preservatives.
Once they were cooked, they smelt great and Izzy couldn’t wait to “do the honours” and cut the pizza.
We shared it out- everyone wanted to try every flavour. Being vegetarian, I just tried the Classic Vegetarian version. The other flavours were Mini Meatballs & Veg and Pesto Chicken & Veg.
Although the kids do all eat meat from time to time, they tend to prefer meat free meals like me. Therefore they weren’t so keen on the meat flavours, but that’s just their personal taste. They always choose a Margherita or Vegetable Pizza.
We loved the Classic Margherita and will buy these in future. The kids could add peppers and other vegetables to them if they liked and serve with a finger salad (cucumber, carrot and cherry tomatoes) for an easy tea.
While, we will continue to make our own pizza, we would definitely buy Little Dish Pizzas in place of a frozen pizza in the future if we were having 1- 3 year olds around for a playdate. Knowing that they contain less salt and are 35% lower in salt does reassure me. They are also the perfect size and “easy to chew” texture for under 3’s. They would make a great, convenient end of week treat too!
The Little Dish My First Pizza will be available from 7th September in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda and Ocado (RRP £2.50).

These would go down well in our house … We're a family of pizza lovers!
We love pizza in our house. Eva likes to make them but sometimes it's great to have a quick/easy ready made one. It's great that they contain less salt too x
I'm pretty sure Ieuan would eat 3 of these in one go! They look fab. Can't go wrong with pizza, can you?
Any party that involves pizza is a winner in my eyes! These pizzas look great – will have to try them out on my little man. I'm sure he'll love them 🙂
Ooh, we love pizza in our house too, but shop-bought ones are an occasional treat because like you say, the salt content, fat and sugar etc is not good. These look fab x
These look yum, I may treat mine to them if I see them in the supermarket 🙂
