I have been following Liz Earle’s expert skin advice since before the launch of her namesake brand in the 90’s. I was a young teenager struggling with both eczema and acne and picking up a Liz Earle skincare guide in the local pharmacy gave me hope (she sure knows her stuff!).
It was from Liz Earle that I learnt the everyday beauty regime followed by scores of women all over the world- to cleanse, tone and moisturise. Then, of course Liz Earle went one step further again when she introduced us to the award winning Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. This is definitely my cleanser of choice and when I stick to the routine rigidly, it really does make a huge difference. I just love the healthy glow that it gives my skin.
I have also used Skin Repair Moisturiser along with the Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I love these products but have been wondering recently if, at thirty five, I should upgrade to the Liz Earle Superskin Range. I wish my bank balance would mature as quickly as my skin.
I occasionally treat my skin to a serum too so eagerly agreed to review the new Liz Earle Superskin Face Serum . This serum is applied as an extra step after cleansing and toning and before moisturising.
Add Superskin™ Face Serum to your morning regime to…
1. Even skin tone – with Persian silk tree extract to help fight the visible signs of fatigue, such as a dull complexion.
2. Lift and firm – with pomegranate flower extract to help boost collagen.
3. Plump and smooth – with rhubarb extract to help intensely hydrate skin.
It contains no animal extracts.
This photo shows the amount of product from one pump. I find that this is enough, but two pumps can be used if necessary. I was expecting an oilier, clear product but prefer this creamier serum. I love the smell- so natural and earthy.
This serum is very easily absorbed, which is important for a morning product. After smoothing it over your skin, you are advised to “press it into the skin”, which always makes me feel more bright and awake each morning.
I have only been this serum for a week but can already feel and see a difference. It has helped to even my usually quite blotchy skintone. My skin feels firmer and smoother. My frown and smile lines (I must do a lot of both!) are less noticeable. I love the way applying it in the morning, seems to wake my skin up and gives it a brighter, more youthful appearance. I am looking forward to seeing the results once I’ve used up the whole bottle!
I like the packaging, although the silver weighted bottle does mean it is difficult to know how much serum is left and how long you have left to buy the next bottle. The pump is easy to use. The product is great, definitely one I would recommend to friends. At £48 for 30ml, then for me it is a luxury, high priced product. However, I know this will reflect the high quality naturally active ingredients in this intensive face serum.
I also love how nicely packaged, Liz Earle parcels arrive and often with free gifts and special offers for future orders. Liz Earle is a real treat to your skin, but also a well deserved gift to you.

This sounds lovely, I tend to avoid serums as my skin used to get quite oily, since having Aria it has changed and isn't quite as oily so this may be something that I could add into my routine now.
Yes, I preferred this serum as it wasn't oily. Funny how our skin and hair changes so much after kids, isn't it? x
I've never owned a Liz Earle product but I know they are supposed to be brilliant, lovely review! x
Oh yes, you'd love the Hot Cleanse and Polish. Thanks x
Loved this review. Very thorough. I was given a bottle of the hot cloth wash once and it did amazing things for my skin. I really must invest in more. This serum sounds brilliant.
Yes, it's great isn't it? I need to invest in more too x
I have no skincare routine at all, apart from the odd bit of Nivea! But as I'm getting older I know I'm in need of something. This looks like a good place to start, at least looking in to! Xx
Yes, good to look into it lol x
This sounds like a lovely product – I've used the hot cloth cleanser before and loved it. I'll bear this in mind next time I'm treating myself 🙂 x

I love using a Serum on my skin it makes it feel so smooth, this looks great and I need to invest in some. I tend to just to splash and run. I might need to make more time for my skincare routine. x
Yeah, I definitely need to spend more time on my skin too x
It sounds amazing, my skin is so bad so I really need to give it some attention! x
