As always, we’ve been taking garden inspiration from our days out. I love to visit gardens with the kids, such as Hilton Court Gardens in Roch and Picton Castle and Gardens, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.
I really need more lavender in my life. I have two pots already but would love lots more. I love the colour and scent. I like cutting fresh lavender and bringing it into the house. I also enjoy using dried lavender in my crafts- it’s so relaxing to work with.

I love the use of lavender in this “Romantic Themed” garden that I came across when looking up garden ideas. This garden has actually been designed with all plants that work well in coastal gardens, so would suit our soil well.
I also love water lillies. Although, we don’t have a pond, I have seen projects in our garden books, where you can make a mini pond using a plastic trug, so I would love to grow water lillies in these.

Our old garden bench also needs a repaint and I’ve decided to paint it a shade of Sea Blue, also in keeping with the coastal theme. I’ve ordered the paint so fingers crossed I manage to get this done before the rain comes.
What inspiration have you found for your garden this month?
