In your Easter bonnet with all the frills upon it…
After the heavy rain last Easter, the sunshine was much appreciated for this years annual Easter Egg Hunt. Last year we rushed around trying to collect everything before it got too wet- this year we could take the time to enjoy it and wanted to stay outside all day.
We went around mums on the morning for the hunt. It was quite a sight seeing dresses hanging from the trees, hairclips, toys and of course, Easter Eggs all hidden around the garden. The kids always get more excited to find something for someone else, so there was lots of shouting and beckoning for the other kids to come over and see what they’d got.
Then we went to Granny and Grampy’s and had lots more eggs and chocolate. The best part of the day is just seeing family though. We were going to see Great Granny and Grampy too but they (had a lucky escape!) and were out to dinner. Then it was back to Nanny’s for a play and a barbecue.
So much went on! Before we’d even had our food, Danny accidentally threw Toby’s dog toy up into the hedge. So Dave got the ladder out and thankfully managed to get it down. I still can’t believe he trusted me to hold the ladder for him but I was very relieved when he got down safe!
Then we enjoyed the lovely food- thank you to Mum, Jo, Ceri and Lexy for all they did. The kids made dens out of old sheets, a bow and arrow out of a stick and string and a javelin. They had fun on the bikes and made videos. They also danced, put on shows and made music and videos. It was a lovely day and evening.
Then we got home and unpacked and found space for all our Easter Gifts- I really wish we had more storage room in our house!
I hope you had a lovely Easter. We are loving this Spring sunshine time of year! Follow us on Instagram to see more of our outdoor adventures that we’ve been up to too!
We still have a few bowls left of Easter Eggs- have you eaten all of yours yet?
Have you had a new camera too? the photos are just wonderful, family life at it's best with so much Easter fun. Looks like such a beautiful day and I love all your beautiful girls in their Easter dresses and bonnets. Thank you for sharing your day with me on Country Kids.
