We were asked to review one and I chose to make a “the book of Danny” for my eldest son. These personalised books make great birthday and Christmas presents (you can choose special Christmas covers etc) but I wanted to make it as a “just because” present.
Danny has celebrated lots of achievements recently. I’m so proud of how Danny has first of all settled into secondary school since September. This was a big step for him, made even harder due to his medical condition. He has not only fitted in well to school but also joined in with lots of new clubs- film club, choir and last week he starred in a show that they put on at our local theatre. I had goosebumps watching him- he was so good! He has also won Gym competitions, joined Youth Forums, and been awarded the Cubs Silver Scout Award. So he definitely deserved a “just because” gift “!
It was easy to “make” and arrived in the post quickly. Danny was pleased to receive this book from us and enjoyed reading it. (He is also going through a drawing on his arm stage as you can see!)
I thought this page was very apt due to his recent time on the stage!
I love all the facts and trivia about Danny. When he was born I collected and bought all the coins and special stamps etc for his year. I also bought a vinyl of the Number 1 in the charts and the top film etc as well as the all-important newspaper from the day he was born. It was fun to see some of these then appearing in this book. Things, like this receipt of prices in “Danny’s day” are really interesting to me.
As well as being a personal gift to Danny it makes a great “coffee table” book that others like to have a nose at too. It’s aesthetically pleasing to look at thanks to the talented artists, all the illustrators, writers, photographers, mathematicians, and techies who help to bring the random facts and figures to life.
There are lots of personalised books on the market designed for kids so it’s great that there is now one for all ages.

The book of everyone makes a great Christmas present and by buying a book you will also be supporting Age UK (this information was correct in 2014).
This Christmas around 500,000 elderly people will spend the festive holidays alone. Here at The Book of Everyone, we believe everyone should have a chance at a Merry Christmas. That’s why we’ve decided to spread a little joy by supporting Age UK with our People are amazing campaign.
On top of sharing the campaign profits with Age UK, every Book bought on the run up to Christmas will go towards a personalised book celebrating the life of an elderly person. These books will be tailored with stories and pictures from the person’s life and will be delivered in person during the Christmas holidays.
By building a book you’ll not only be giving your mum, dad, brother, or friends a brilliant personalised gift, you’ll also be bringing a smile to the face of an amazing individual.
This is a great book and a great cause too!
We were sent this copy of The Book of Everyone to review. Our opinions are honest and our own.
