We’re back! Sorry we’ve been neglecting our Country Kids due to family circumstances but I’m pleased to say we haven’t been neglecting our outdoor time.
I’m normally the parent who decides to go on adventures and makes sure the kids have a lot of fun outdoor time, but I’m so relieved that when I have been needed elsewhere over the last month, Dave has stepped up and been packing picnics and taking the kids off on his own all the time. We’ve even planned it so I have been able to join them for parts of the time so I haven’t missed out as much as I could have.
Anyway, while we have a long way to go life is starting to get easier and I have definitely been more present in our family life again this past week which is always good.
We’ve had lovely beach days and days out but I haven’t found the time to blog. However, these photos were all taken on my phone and therefore automatically are ready to go into a blog post so I thought I’d join in with a quickie (of the blog sort!)!
Thursday saw many schools closing due to strikes. We were asked to help prepare a school butterfly garden for our local park so we did that in the morning, then made the most of playing once the work was done.
Here are a few snaps:
I love rides that they can all go on together at the same time despite their age gaps!
I have lots of photos of Danny up here by himself, a few of him with Dave (such a big kid!) but it’s the first time I’ve seen Danny and Rebecca up the top together! It will be the whole family soon!
I didn’t see these reflections as I took the photo!
Izzy now prefers the big swings to the (safer!) toddler ones. She is well balanced though thankfully!
The above photo makes me laugh-it looks so odd!
Biggest and littlest. Yes, he did have to cover himself in mud “war paint” whilst gardening!
The Euro Flag sneaked into this photo!
Surprisingly, noone got hurt on this! I kept reminding them to hold on and keep their head off the ground etc and for once noone got a “dragging graze”. Ouch!
It feels great to be back blogging and joining in with Country Kids again! 🙂
