Last week at a Benefit event it was all about the brows! I know that brows can make or break a face and I have to admit that I am never happy with my needy eyebrows (they require far too much attention than I have spare time!)!
Therefore I am in full support of Benefit’s “Brow Arch March”, where ladies and gents can have their eyebrows waxed and shaped in exchange for a £5 donation to Look Good Feel Better.
Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) is the only international cancer support charity, providing practical and very effective free services for women and teenagers suffering from the visible side effects from cancer treatment.
LGFB is dedicated to improving the wellbeing and self-confidence of people undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. Many beneficiaries explain that LGFB helped them regain a sense of control and normality at a time when diagnosis and treatment had taken over their lives.
At the event, we enjoyed Mocktails and Cupcakes while learning about Brow Arch and other Benefit products.
We saw how easy it is to use Gimme Brow to create full, lush brows with defined arches. I’m usually an eyebrow pencil gal for convenience, but I could see how Gimme Brow was easier to use and created a more natural effect.
Another product that I will be adding to my make up bag is Benefit’s new Big Easy, it’s like a BB cream but bigger! It balances out your complexion, controls oil, melts like a cream and dries like a velvety powder. We have been given a little sample and I am really hoping that it is in my shade!
I have always been a fan of Benefit Lip Tints…my favourite is the traditional rose Benetint, as I can use it on my cheeks and lips.
I tried the Lollitint and think that it would be a great new shade for my cheeks and lips for Spring.
Thanks to Mia (@MiaHolt) for taking these photos of me!
The lovely Aunty Miff (@HitnMiff) won the surprise raffle.
I’m still not a fan of Noelle (it just doesn’t suit me) but Laugh with me Lee Lee is a very wearable floral scent. It also contains two of my daughter’s middle names (Jasmine and Lily) so I’m taking that as a sign that it’s the scent for me!
The Goody Boxes went down quickly…
…and here is what was inside!
I also took the catalogue and Benefit Marvel Comic for reading material on the train home.
I then treated myself to a Burger King while waiting for my train. I’ve not had one in years! It took me back to the days when I would run into Cardiff Burger King and grab food while changing trains.

I love me some Benefit! And BB cream is one of my staples!
I LOVE Benefit, I also really need to sort out my eyebrows! x
i once got a lady to do my brows with the brow stuff at a counter (can't remember the product name)..oh god she made me look like a clown! but the actual product was good and my sister uses it all the time.
I really need to get some new make-up! x
I'm an eyebrow pencil girl too but this makes me think it's time to evolve, grow up, move on.
Oh wow really wish I could of come to this but couldn't get a babysitter – hopefully next time, would of been wonderful to see you and have the eyebrows sorted – all for a good cause as well 🙂 Looks like you had a great timeLaura x
This looks great, what a brilliant event! My eyebrows are out of control!
I had a little benefit makeover a while ago, and I was so ashamed to say that I've never really treated my eyebrows as part of the whole putting on make up thing, probably because I have a fringe so they are hidden most of the time! But I do love the benefit brow kits, I think I need to invest!
Sounds like a great event, I'm quite excited to go on Wednesday now! Good thinking on the BK for the train home, I may just do that! I mentioned it to hubby and he is rather jealous. xLeanne – A Slice of My Life
