I planned to post a couple of these outdoor adventures in the one post, but somehow I still managed to take hundreds of photos of each mini adventure, so it is best to post them separately!
On Saturday, Danny went off to Laser Tag at CQB Adventures, with friends. He had really good fun playing laser tag in the woods and can’t wait until the zombie adventure coming up soon.
We had time to waste before Rebecca’s swimming lesson so decided to go for a walk down the Rath. In fact when we first got there, we gave Rebecca and Caitlyn some boundary rules and let them run around while Dave and I enjoyed a flask of coffee and a catch up chat. That was a nice relaxing way to begin the morning.
Once the coffee had woken us up we were ready to take Izzy out of the car too and enjoy a run around.
You can tell from our hair, that it is always bright and breezy on the rath!
The kids jumped across the sea creatures on the memorial.
The girls discovered flowers growing on the grass.
Izzy and Rebecca played together. I have to remind Rebecca to give Izzy space and not to keep lifting her up all the time. I can remember being the same with my “baby sister”.
Then Rebecca and Caitlyn rolled and ran down the hill.
I was boring and took the scenic path route. I do love to run down the hill when my hands are free though. My stomach goes now far more than it used to when I was little and it feels like I’m going to end up in the sea!
Then there always seems to be a point where everyone starts climbing up the hill and I’m the only one left at the bottom. Everyone has managed to climb up but every part of the wall is too high for me!
So, I take some photos of “The King’s of the Castle” then wander back to find a lower wall for this “dirty rascal” to climb her way up to the main path.
Yes, there they are, right at the top!
This is our outdoor paddling pool which opens up in the Summer. We used to have a main outdoor pool too. Sadly, it closed while I was still young.
Phew! Eventually I catch them up!
Anywhere with railings is a fun day out for my kids!
A lamppost to climb is good too!
Jumping from the railings.
Then Rebecca has a little dance again (it wouldn’t be a Country Kids without a bit of Rebecca dancing!).
We dropped Caitlyn and daddy off to work. She has been asking for weeks to help out down on the boats so was pleased to be allowed today.
Izzy and I took Rebecca swimming. Her cousin Cerys has a lesson the same time, so I can chat to Jo and or Mum (and on this occasion Ceri) while they swim.
Then we went home to play in the garden. The girls played with Moonsand. Caitlyn asked if she could take a photo of her butterfly. I agreed and she took the photo above. She asked if I could put it on the blog for her which I now have!
After work, Dave had band practice. When he came home it was time for me to go out for for Ceri’s Leaving Do, so I’m glad we enjoyed our outdoor time while we could!
