Yesterday, Sunday 26th January, we drove 76 miles to Margam Park, Port Talbot, to pass on the Baton to Debbie from Johnson Babies.
Debbie’s husband, Tony then went on his way cycling 26 miles to Rhoose. Well done Tony!
Meanwhile, we set off through the muddy puddles to Fairytale Land (Children’s area with a nursery rhyme theme).
Every puddle had to be splashed in, of course!
Margam Park is so beautiful, I can’t believe I forgot to recharge my camera battery so I couldn’t take lots of photos.
We ran around Fairy Tale land and then started exploring the different play areas there. We loved playing in the Castle- it was great for Hide and Seek!
We always love swings.
This swing seat was great as all the kids could fit in it at once- I think we need one for our garden!
Inside the houses and buildings dotted around Fairy Tale Land there were scenes from Nursery Rhymes and Fairy Tales. I loved looking at all these- it was nice to get out of the rain too!
Danny was happy as there was a Giant Chess and Draughts set to play too.
We had lots of fun passing the baton to Debbie, I hope they have a lovely week with the Team Honk Baton! I am definitely going to visit Margam Park again too as it looks like a great day out with plenty to do and all for £4 Car Parking!
They even waived this for Debbie when they saw she was doing something for Sport Relief, so big thanks to Margam Park!
With all that rain, there was of course a car that needed to be pushed out of the mud. We were all pushing together and as the car managed to move I fell down onto my knees. I was laughing at how muddy I was and then turned to Dave and saw that he had been splattered in mud as the tyres were spinning. He was covered from head to toe in splashes of mud, so it’s not only the kids who get muddy!
