On Friday, local schools in Pembrokeshire supported the Team Honk Lands End to John O’Groats Bloggers Relay.
The first school that we passed the baton to was Hakin Community School. At the Infant’s Site every pupil got to pass on the baton in a whole school indoor relay.
Here, Caitlyn carries the relay baton to the next class (helped by little sister Isabelle!).
We then went to the Junior and Year 2 site. A pupil wrote a message of support on the baton and we got to talk to some classes and again send the baton around.
We then visited Milford Haven Junior School and told them about Sport Relief and our Team Honk Lands End to John O’Groats Relay.
They also wrote a message of support on the baton ribbon.
It was great to hear that both schools are looking forward to taking part in Sport Relief in March.
I would like to say “Thank You” to the schools for taking the time to support Team Honk. There was lots going on – some classes were out on trips, there was a class assembly starting and lots of other wonderful things happening, so the time they could give us was much appreciated.
Thank you also to my friend, Rose for coming along with me. Friends and family have helped me on all my Team Honk adventures so far and I couldn’t have managed without their help- it really is appreciated!
Today, I climbed up a very cold, windy mountain and got heavily hailed on with the Team Honk Baton (Photos and Post coming soon!); tomorrow I am passing the Baton onto Debbie at Margam Park.
It would make my day if we could raise £35 tomorrow to bring Wales Team Honk up to £100 on the day I pass the baton on. Please sponsor us here.
