Rebecca is usually lucky to have lovely weather on her birthday in October, therefore we can normally enjoy a lovely birthday day trip.
For her recent 7th Birthday we planned a day Pony Riding at Pembrey Park Riding Centre, Pembrey Country Park.
We paid £2 parking and enjoyed a cycle. There is plentry of room to cycle, walk or run. In the early days, Pembrey was my closest venue to take part in Race For Life.
Then we played in the play park. I have happy memories of playing here with my sisters when I was younger.
Danny enjoyed the bars as he could practice some of his Gymnastics routine on them!
Just hanging around…
Caitlyn enjoyed the more relaxing swinging on the tyre.
Weeee!
After playing in the park, we enjoyed a birthday picnic.
As it was a birthday, there were of course cakes!
That embarassing lovely moment when everyone sings to you!
The birthday girl enjoyed cake and pink champagne (OK Shloer!).
Then it was time to get ready for the pony riding session. Hats and wellies were put on.
The kids climbed the the mounting block and got on their horses. A lot easier than struggling to pull yourself up like I’ve always had to!
The birthday girl on her pony.
Danny on his pony. At first he didn’t want a go as he “only rides big horses” but eventually we convinced him it was more fun than watching so he had fun taking part too.
I didn’t go with them on the trek so no photos sorry.
But everyone came back happy and excited with lots to tell us about their pony. They particularly liked telling us which ponys had poo-ed while riding! Nice!
We then went for a ride on the miniture railway. Dave took photos of us but has not given me the photos yet.
We then cycled to the beach.
We took some fun photos.
Enjoyed some rides.
At the beach we all wrote messages or names in the sand.
We rolled down the sandbanks and made sand angels.
Then we played long jump in the sand.
I was useless!
Izzy had some help!
I love the beach in Autumn.
Pembrey Country Park and the beach are lovely places to visit all year round.
There is also a dry ski slope and the UK’s biggest tobaggon ride, but we didn’t have time to do everything, so we will be back for more!
All that on her birthday. What a wonderful time. What are the odds she'll be asking to go back next year?!
Yes, we're planning to camp there next year so we can have more time. 🙂 x
ah these are lovely shots! looks like the weather was great for you!
Thanks! Yes was a lovely day! 🙂 x
Wow what a lovely birthday. The beach and riding, two of my favourite things x
Yes it was lovely. I hadn't planned to go to the beach there but so glad we did! 🙂 x
What a wonderful and memorable 7th birthday Rebecca had, full of fun, adventure, games and time spent with family – what more could she ask for. Lovely photos of your packed day of outdoor fun and I love the game of long jump on the beach, I know our children would love that. Thanks for linking up and sharing Rebecca's outdoor birthday fun with Country Kids.
What a fantastic birthday! So many different activities, the photos are wonderful – you're all clearly having such a brilliant time! #CountryKids
What a fabulous way to celebrate a birthday. So many great activities and you can see in the kids' faces that they loved every minute of it.
Gosh what a great birthday. My daughter would be over the moon if hers including pony riding.#countrykids
What a fabulous birthday treat. I used to love riding when I was little and I am so glad my two enjoy it too. We live by the beach and so enjoy going down there this time of year
wow that is some fun packed full day birthday treat. its nice when it is still warm enough for bare feet on the beach but the beach is not too crowded to enjoy. Brilliant way to get on a pony.
