I had a lovely time last night, as The White Company opened their doors for an exclusive preview of the new store on Lower Grand Parade, St David’s, Cardiff.

When my seasonal The White Company brochure arrives, I always save it until I am due a long, relaxing, bubble bath and treasure each page of white, tranquil loveliness.
I always used to pine over the Linen Sprays and Candles, but recently I have fallen in love with the children’s bedlinen and clothing range.
As we walked into the store, we were offered a glass of Champagne which went down nicely. Canapes were served by Jamie’s Italian. These confirmed that I really need to organise a boozy “Prosecco and Italian food” meal there soon!
Then it was time to wander around the new, fragrant store.
I now have the two candles pictured above – no, sadly not the large versions, but the more affordable smaller, votives. I normally make my own candles, so these are a rare indulgence for me.
The “Perfectly Priced” range is perfect for luxurious stocking fillers and Thank You gifts.
These Girl’s Ballerina Slippers were so soft and comfy on the inside, as well as looking pretty.
The children’s clothing range is traditional, classic and comfortable. It is more expensive than I would normally pay but it is all machine washable and excellent quality that could be passed down to other children over the years, making it more value for the money.
I would really love this Mulberry Tutu dress for Isabelle (she has a birthday and of course Christmas coming up soon!). There were matching tights displayed alongside the dress too. So often shops will sell girls dresses without co-ordinating tights and it can be difficult to then find the perfect pair.
I did squeal with excitement as I opened up this display wardrobe to find it layed out like this with the baby clothes and linen. It is so lovely and reminded me of collecting sleepsuits and blankets before my babies were born.
These pretty pink cellular blankets would make a precious gift for a new born. The lilac cellular blankets I bought for Danny, were used for his little sisters too and, of course, hold such lovely memories for me.
As I mentioned earlier, the children’s cot and bed sets are divine. I love the quilts and really need to take inspiration from these to make one for each of my children. It would be a lovely keepsake.
Gorgeous, classic bed linen.
The Faux Fur Cushions weren’t to my taste, although Jo said they were lovely to touch, but I liked these cosy knitted cushion covers.
The White Company Bathroom Range is perfect for creating a luxurious hotel home spa look. I like these Toulon Bat mats.
Soft, cashmere socks- another little luxury.
In the Home Range, I loved anything that was heart shaped. I really want a heart shaped chopping board and tableware.
I loved my time at The White Company, St Davids, Cardiff. It is a beautiful store and the staff are very friendly and helpful, I can’t wait to visit again!
We were entertained by a String Quartet playing popular songs as we shopped.
Glasses were empty and it was time to leave, we received a goodybag with treats, including a Seychelle Candle, which I can’t wait to light.
The White Company is opening a new store on Lower Grand Parade, St David’s Cardiff, today, Thursday 5th September 2013.
