Is this your first blogging conference?
I’ve been to Blog Summit Bristol and Cybher, so it’ll be my third. I’m a Brit Mums Live virgin though! I am already overwhelmed by the size of it!
Are you attending both days?
Yes, I’ll be arriving in London Friday Morning and leaving Sunday night! It’s gonna be a crazy weekend!
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2013?
Meeting everyone! I’m looking forward to seeing Claire (Ninja Killer Cat), PinkOddy, and Julie (Julie’s Notebook) again as I had a good laugh at (I mean with! 😉 ) them at Cybher, and meeting lots more new people as well. The schedule looks amazing but that makes it too difficult to choose what to go to! I can’t wait to see Mammasaurus (again) and Mummy Barrow , Fiona -Coombe Mill and Actually Mummy for the first time in person! I am very shy until I find myself in the company of a nice group of people! Then I relax and enjoy myself. If you see me, please say “Hi”, we’re all in the same boat! There are no Cliques- humans just naturally organise themselves into little groups as it’s easier to talk to each other I think. I’m also looking forward to lots of Prosecco tasting and just a general fun weekend in London! 🙂
What are you wearing?
As I will be travelling all through the night on Thursday, I will be arriving in comfy clothes and with bags under my eyes. I haven’t chosen my outfits yet, but they are bound to be dresses of some sorts as my round body shape doesn’t “do” trousers or many skirts! So, whatever tents dresses and cardigans are out of the wash!
What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2013?
I want to put a face to the blog and twitter names. Since Cybher, reading the posts and twitter feeds of the bloggers I now have met seems more meaningful (apart from when they’re tweeting about tripe! Joke! 😉 ). I hope to learn tips on how to save time as a Blogger- I am so slow and so behind on my Blog! How do you all do it?
Tell us one thing about you that not everyone knows
Online friends will not know that I am absolutely terrified of heights. If I am up really high, I just cannot stand up. I start to shake, go dizzy and have to crawl on my hands and knees. This happens on a fairly regular basis in real life and me crawling along over bridges or narrow parts of the coastal path is a common trait that my family like to tease me about (oh the shame!).
Due to this height phobia, I used to be terrified of escalators too, especially the really big ones in the Underground. I have avoided them for years. But while using the tube on my own after Cybher, I just got on one, relaxed and felt great! However, I’m bringing the girls to London next week and I wonder how confident I will feel then…
This is part of the “I’m Going to Brit Mums!” Linky!
