As you know, this coming Sunday is Father’s Day. Usually every year on Father’s Day I run Race for Life, in memory of my own father. However, this year my Race for Life event has been postponed until July.
However, I will still not be at home helping the kids spoil Dave on Father’s Day as it’s Download Festival this weekend, so of course he’s gone to Donnington to enjoy his annual weekend of beer and moshing to his favourite bands.
I know that this amazing experience will really make Father’s Day for him, however I needed some Father’s Day ideas for gifts the kids could pack for him to enjoy over the weekend.
We didn’t want him to have to carry presents all the way to Donnington and all the way home, so we wanted to give him something he could use while he’s there.
So the perfect present for a dad at Download? No, not toilet roll, he’s packed that already! Beer! Not just any beer- Iron Maiden The Trooper beer! You can’t get more rock than that.
Dave loves Iron Maiden, The Trooper and beer so I have no doubt that he will love it.
It’s going to be available at the Download Bar too, but this one is for Dave to enjoy back at the van on Father’s Day.
We have also wrapped this Coke with his name on and packed it into his bag too! This may be appreciated one hungover morning or mixed with vodka, perhaps?
The kids made their cards and I’ve hidden them in his bag!
If you need more Father’s Day Inspiration how about entering this competition to win an 80’s Retro Gaming Bundle? I have entered and know Dave will would be delighted if I won all these prizes for him. He loves gaming: retro and modern! I love the Arcade Megadrive!
Are you all sorted for Father’s Day? We will celebrate ours properly when Dave comes home on Monday. What are your plans?
