Summer Loving and Outdoor Dining

Home, Outdoor dining

This week it's been so warm but I've felt we've really not made the most of the lovely weather.  The kids have been hot and bothered and we've had lots to do so it's all felt very rushed.  I think the key to enjoying this hot weather is to relax and take it easy so if this weather keeps up next week I'm going to plan more outdoor dining.

A few weeks ago we had a family barbecue with Mum, Jo, Cerys, Ceri and Lexy.  It was a lovely day with the kids happily playing outdoors before eating.  While it is easier to relax at weekends, I need to do this more during the week too instead of it feeling like a chore cooking tea indoors each night.

I need more of these happy summer loving faces than hot and  bothered tantrums!

In our own garden, we already have the lovely La Hacienda Globe Fire Pit and are happy sitting down on a blanket outdoors but I really need a new outdoor dining table and a bench to make eating outdoors easier (our table has broke and now our garden bench has fallen apart too).

I'm also going planning to go on at least one picnic or barbecue on the beach this week (if it rains this week in Pembrokeshire, it is completely my fault!).

We have been planning to camp in the garden again but both times have had to change our plans so hopefully we can do that soon!

I think we're more than ready for the the school breaking up now- roll on the Summer Holidays!

How are you keeping cool and enjoying this summer weather?
