The Storytellers: Mog's Christmas Calamity

I adore Judith Kerr books.  As soon as I saw this year's Sainsbury's Christmas Advert featuring Mog the cat, I couldn't wait to get a copy of the new book, Mog's Christmas Calamity.

I was delighted to be asked to join in with the Sainsbury's Storyteller's Campaign, I just love reading stories.  You can see the video of me telling the story to my youngest daughter, Izzy below.  I have also heard all of my older children reading the story to her too- it is such a Christmas favourite in our house.

The ‘Mog’s Christmas Calamity’ book at the centre of the campaign will also help Sainsbury’s raise funds for Save the Children’s attempts to improve child literacy across the UK. Judith Kerr, HarperCollins Children’s Books and Sainsbury’s will donate all profits from the sales of the £3 book, and a specially created Mog soft toy for £10, to Save the Children’s literacy work (I really wanted to buy one of the Mog toys).

Do you love sharing stories?
Telling stories can ignite imaginations and build bonds between parents and children. Save the Children and the members of the Read On. Get On. campaign believe storytelling should be an important part of every child’s life, so this Christmas they want to celebrate your inner storyteller.
To get involved, simply post a video of yourself reading from the book ‘Mog’s Christmas Calamity’ by Judith Kerr and you could star in their special online version of the story.
Don't worry if you don't have the book yet, you can find a passage from the story to read here.

Enjoy telling your story!  Thank you for joining in!
